Just bought Telling Lies and Immortality, both for £7. After how much I loved Barlow's previous game Her Story I'm confident I'll get my moneysworth with these.

If you don't know much about Her Story but like the overall idea of interactive fiction / detective stories I can wholeheartedly recommend it. As far as I know the other two are in a similar vein and are doing their own thing in th gaming space.

Skyrim, never played it before and now I can't stop

One of the GOATs. I love just running around the map listening to that incredible soundtrack... becoming a damn Dragonborn.

Alan Wake II is interesting so far. I’m only about an hour in and just had the first encounter with anything supernatural outside of the intro sequence.
My only complaint is it feels a bit tedious with having to put the pieces of the case files in the correct category. Kind of takes the momentum out of the gameplay for me. But, I’m not going to give up just yet. I hope the combat and story overshadow my disliking of that aspect.

Finally played Faith thanks to a steam sale. A good change of pace after playing Heretic/Hexen and Cultic back to back.

Played through all the chapters several times but doing the marathon would be too much.

Figured The Eternal Castle would be a good follow-up to Faith. Really great looking CGA.

Prince of Persia/Flashback style controls haven't aged well, probably never doing another playthrough.

Bf6 is kinda fun but kinda sucks. It's like if 4 and 2042 had a baby. I would wait till the price drops if you want to play it.

Same with skate, fun but kinda sucks, I got like 150 hours in it so far.

Finished silent hill f and MGS delta so I’m killing time by:

-platinuming death stranding 2
-finishing campaign of Dishonored 2
-doing my yearly run of Max Payne 1 but on New York minute difficulty.

Until Dawn is so much fun.

It was one of the first PS4 games I got when getting that console but I was waiting for the PS5 remake to go on sale. Glad it was added to PS Plus game catalogue instead of me having to pay directly for it because it hasn't really gone on sale.

From Halloween to now I've been playing it and enjoying it ALOT, managed to finish it tonight with everyone surviving. I can't recommend it enough if you like narrative and mystery focused games or have a thing for teen slasher stories.

The mystery is better than it appears at first, and the characters aren't as one dimensional as they initially seem. Himbo Slice Mike especially was a highlight.

10/10. Would play again and again.

Picked up Silent Hill f NG+ after starting it and stopping somewhere before the Sakuko fight. While I knew NG+ would include some differences in the story and how everything unfolds, I did not expect it to change so much. The main story beats play out nearly the same, but there’s enough that’s been changed for it to feel like a somewhat new experience.

After how good Silent Hill 2 REmake was I've been really looking forward to playing this one.
Seems like it runs decently on Steam Deck so that's even better, means I can get a key for it much cheaper than it is on PSN or even PS5 disc.
Without spoilers, what sort of things change on a NG+ run?

I will say, be prepared for it to not be much like the SH2 Remake. NeoBards tried their best to not just make the same game all over again and it works very well. Just try to not compare it to SH2 Remake too much.

But, to try to avoid spoilers, the main things that have changed for me thus far is a few new cutscenes that offer more insight into what’s happening and you can find more notes with even more lore and a few new explorable areas in sections like their Middle School.

Overall, I’ll give it an 8/10 after my first play through. I have a feeling it’ll rank higher for me after beating the NG+.

Appreciate the response, I know it will be a different experience than SH2, and from what little I've seen of it I'm still super interested in giving it a play. It looks very different in terms of the combat anyway.

Trying my best to avoid spoilers too for sure. I mean I'm 100% gonna pick it up at some point soon so I was just interested in hearing how the ng+ is different to the main game.

My gf introduced me to castle crashers today. It’s an old indie game but it holds up so well. I had a blast playing couch co op with her for like 4 hours.

Also still playing Battlefield 6 once or twice a week. Pretty fun in short spurts and if my team is playing the objective. The maps kinda could be a lot better though. Only like 2 maps I’m ever excited to play.

Don't know why and how I missed Prey when it was released in 2017. Bioshock 2 and infinite didn't scratch the 0451 itch the same way as the first and I stopped playing Dishonored 2 after the intro, so those experiences might've affected the decision to not give this a try.

Awesome, really great for a loot goblin player like me. Plotwise not so great and we get the classic rushed endgame but I didn't even mind that.

Been playing a lot of GTA4 lately, it’s definitely the darkest entry in the GTA series but it’s comforting for me. It’s like being stuck in the past for a short period of time

Started RDR2 for my first actual playthrough. Tried to play it a few years ago and just lost interest for some reason, but this time I'm enjoying it way more. Just got to the start of Chapter 2 before making myself stop last night.

Enjoy the ride.
I keep thinking about starting a new game or doing the extra side collecting.

I usually reconsider cause I know it’ll be an easy 100+ hours either way

Enjoying it way more than I anticipated. I wrote it off as "GTA with horses" and I wish I could kick myself for thinking that.  I fully feel why people love this game so much.

Taking a break for the moment to play Silent Hill 2 OG on PS2. Got through the apartments yesterday and will probably get through most of the hospital after work this evening. As much as I loved the remake, I see why people were so fearful of the remake tarnishing the OGs legacy. It is truly something special in every way.

Played this so much on PS4 when it came out. Just saw that it was on sale on steam for 15 bucks so I grabbed it. I can't wait to do a playthrough on PC.

Thank Goodness You’re Here! was far more enjoyable than I expected. A lot of silly humor mixed with some fairly easy but fun puzzles. Free on PSN right now for anyone who wants to kill a few hours.

Expedition 33 was on sale for black Friday, so I went ahead and got it. Only about 4 or 5 hours in, but I'll definitely be playing it all the way through.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

It is my game of the year for sure, so glad to hear you're enjoying it too.
It's basically the blueprint in terms of game design I would have wanted for an actual Final Fantasy VII Remake.
God it's so good.

Back4Blood is actually fun if you’re playing with friends and try not to think of it as a successor to the Left 4 Dead series.

Also, OG Silent Hill 2. Just got to the Labyrinth section and it’s been a fantastic experience thus far. The controls and camera aren’t nearly as much of an issue as I thought. Environments are tight, dark, and anxiety inducing. Enemies are somehow even more disturbing looking on the old graphics. Everything about it helps me to understand why so many people were so worried about the remaking being terrible.
This game is truly something special.
