Started Reanimal. It’s scratching the Little Nightmares fix I’m looking for. A fan of the map and where the story is going.

I got soft locked in the game and can’t progress forward so now I’m back to my RE2 quest for platinum and Cronos which I’m convinced is the perfect merge of Silent Hill and Dead Space.
Exactly how I felt after finishing it. The ending had my jaw on the floor. Started NG+ the other day. Hoping for some differences to show up, but it’s been the exact same so far.

Finally finished Psychonauts 2. Very enjoyable but didn't hit the same as the first one (which I played more than fifteen years after it's release).

Switched my Xbox to be in New Zealand so I could play Resident Evil Requiem early and I’m having a blast so far. I’m nearly halfway through the game from what I can tell and it’s on pace to be my favorite RE game ever. Which is saying something because I’m a massive RE nerd and RE4 remake is my favorite video game of all time. Seriously, if you like Resident Evil, go play this game now. So fucking fun

Recently started playing Skyrim for the first time and wowwwww

Only 13 hours of playtime but I've been having so much fun. Taking my time through the game by trying to talk to every NPC and doing side quests

Enjoy friend. I would pay so much to play Skyrim for the first time all over again. I could never get in to oblivion tho. The OG or the remaster no matter how much I played.

Same, brother, same... running through a rainy Skyrim while that legendary soundtrack plays. The thieves guild and Dark Brotherhood missions...Called into work a few times just to stay in and play lol good times.

I got a 6am flight coming up and I honestly might stay up all night playing it instead of trying to wake up early

Played for an hour last night and loved every minute of it. Had to stop bc it was midnight and I had work in the morning. I feel like it’s a pretty perfect mix of RE4 and RE7 right off the rip.

Just beat RE9. 10 out of fucking 10, imo. Gonna replay it and try to find every single thing this time.

Beat RE9 last night. I'm not quite as over the moon of it as everyone else is and I'm not quite sure why but I really enjoyed it. Started a second playthrough last night with the indestructible knife for Grace

Finished Bioshock Infinite

Neat story for the universe, but man did it get lost in the sauce in the final act.

Only made me want to play the first Bioshock again even more, so I just redownloaded that one. Awesome universe.
Wow sorry, didn't realise I was dealing with a sick cunt here

Playing Stray. I like idea but I am getting annoyed with not knowing what to do or where to go next.

I beat that like a year or so ago. It is confusing sometimes. Good game tho. gotta pay super attention to what people say.

As for RE Requiem. beat it and im kinda bummed. I am the guy that likes all the puzzle solving aspects. Second half of the game was all combat and kinda meh. Game overall was decent tho.

To me the first half is a masterpiece but the second half was just ok. RE4 remake is my favorite videogame of all time so I was really looking forward to playing as Leon. But I think the enemies he faces in racoon city were kinda lame and the weapons he uses didn’t feel as powerful or something. I can’t quite put my finger on it but i think it’s missing a lot of the soul that RE4 remake combat had. You use a 3D printer to upgrade guns now? Really? Even the weapon case is just a bland screen and uncustomizable.

I also don’t give a shit about Racoon city and I’m so over underground super labs at this point. I would’ve much rather had a brand new area that felt fresh. And no new game + or mercenaries? What the fuck Capcom. How did they manage to fuck up a staple like new game +? I have confidence both of those things will be added in updates soon but those should’ve been day one features no excuses. Especially new game +

I will say the motorcycle chase, spider fight, and Hunk fight were fucking badass though.

10/10 grace sections. 7.5/10 Leon sections.

ive found myself in this annoying habit of rotating between my 5 games until something either clicks and i play for a while or i just turn off the ps5.

battlefield 6, insurgency, madden, skate. and session skate. turns into an adhd fest where i dont really play anything longer than 10 mins or a multi hour glued in session with one game.

also iRacing once the gf is in bed. usually turns into a multi beer multi hour ordeal.

That's what i loved ab the OG 2 and 3... 2 teased raccoon city and 3 you got to actually explore it. But in all fairness RE has done raccoon city, a cruise ship, a train, villages, multiple mansions, and an island lol maybe a new city is on deck... haven't played 9 yet tho.

Hunk is my fav of that universe. All the way back to his short screen time in 2.

My wife’s favorite video game is Crazy Taxi and I finally got the GameCube version to run off a SD card in my Wii (the optical drive has been dead for over a decade).

We played this game a lot while I was stationed in Japan on my Dreamcast.

I think part of her love of this game is that she could legitimately beat me at it on top of its fun and straightforward gameplay.

Crazy taxi is a great game. My kids loved it because it was easy pick up and play.

Capcom has indicated that 9 is a sort of closing chapter on the Raccoon City stuff but no one's really sure what direction they're going to go in, aside from a vague teaser at the end of 9

Yeah, this marks the end of Umbrella being the Big Bad in every game. But, I'm curious to see who The Connections are and how much control they had over everything leading up to RE9. They seem to heavily imply that they're the ones really calling the shots. With how things ended, it leaves me thinking the next one could be a Chris and Leon focused story.

My wife accidentally fried my PS2 while watering the houseplants, so I've been getting my gaming fix via a Bandai/Namco plug-n-play HDMI set up I found at an antique mall. Been playing a whole lot of Pac Man and Galaga.

This particular version has a nice "rewind" feature, which allows you to rewind a few seconds if you lose a life. It's been fun "cheating" my way to crazy levels that I'd never reach playing under the usual constraints.

They've been mentioned in-game since 7 but I'm not enough of a lore hound to remember and tie stuff together

Does that one have Mappy on it? I remember my brother was ridiculously good at Mappy on one of those plug and plays

I have been playing the new Tokyo Xtreme Racer on PS5 recently. Playing on Challenge mode after playing it on Enjoy mode on PC. Challenge mode keeps the game more balanced and limits cars and upgrades to bosses you beat. So you aren't driving a fully upgraded end game car halfway through the story.

Yep it does have Mappy! Took me a little bit to get into it, but that one is pretty fun too.

Which Resident Evil is the best for someone who hasn't played since the PS2 era?

I download the Resident Evil 4 Chainsaw demo and got fucking wrecked in the first village.

This was my route:
RE2
RE3
Biohazard
Village
RE4

4 remake is so good but I enjoy blowing through 2 and 3 as fast as I can

In my opinion 4 remake is the best video game of all time and the most accessible. It also made me a super fan of the series.

That’s a shame about your PS2, but it’s funny you mentioned those games.

Along with Crazy Taxi, I loaded up my Wii with GameCube versions of the Namco Museum 50th collection and the Midway collections and holy shit I’m so rusty. The old arcade games really relied on your focus in the absolute moment and I was floundering at Galaga so bad. I used to be alright to decent borderline good in the past and instead I was playing like I never touched it before. I’ll definitely need to work at rebuilding my twitch skills with these merciless games of olde.
