^^^Care to explain your setup? I really wish I knew how to do flash shooting.
Of cource - My setup is:
Kamera: Nikon D50 (because of its special shutter), Nikon D2H and a Nikon D700
Lenses: 10,5 mm ultra fisheye, 18-55 standard, 50 mm and a 70-200
Flashes: Nikon sb600, Nikon sb800 and some random fill-in flash
For off-camera flash I have some sort of wannabe pocket wizards, but in a cheap, plastic, duct-tape, Korean kinda way. Bought them on ebay for almost nothing. They work really well, but looks a little messed up.
If you want to shoot with off-camera flashes its actually kinda simple, if you have any flashes? There is lots of ways to do this, but I would recommend some sort of Radio Triggers (pocket wizards is great if you got the money for them). You then have one transmitter in the hotshoe on your camera (or connected to the kamera with a small cable), and the same amount of recievers as the amount of flashes you want to light up your subject. You then choose the same channel on the transmitter and the reciever, and it would fire when you shoot. Then its all about placing the flashes in reasonable places, which can be a bit of a bitch if you don't want them included in the photo. I failed in the crooks picture, and I had one of the flashes visible, but sometimes its just hard to work around.
I hope that kinda answered your question? If not, ask again and I will try to explain what you want to know (if I can of course). English is not my main language, so sorry about the typos and gramma, it ended up being quite a post i wrote there.
