Thanks a bunch dudes!
nice one bladical, always good to see new shit of yours, funilly enough though the one that sticks out for me is the very last one with the trees, just looks so peacefull but kinda spooky at the same time, what ISO was that shot on?
It was shot with my fm2n on HP5+, so ISO 400.
Man....that noseblunt photo looks so sick! You ever print your photos? I'd love to get one of that. That shit would look dope on some gloss photo paper. Make the colors pop out.
I definitely do prints! If you're really interested, I can get one made for you and send it out. Let me know what size you want (8x10, 8x12, etc).
Finknoos, I can only speak for the skateboard side of things, and as shitty as it may sound, it's all about who you know and making connections. As I shot more, I started to meet more and more people and started to submit my stuff to a few mags here in Canada (SBC, Color, Concrete). The first stuff you submit might not always be taken in, but it gives you a push to keep shooting and get better. Travelling helps a lot to and throwing yourself into unfamiliar environments with new people usually yields rad photos and keeps things fresh. I'm stoked to be doing freelance writing and photos now, it'd be a dream to make a career out of skate photography. Maybe one day.
All in all, it's pretty universal as far as getting into it goes. You make more connections, gain more clients, word of mouth spreads and everyone is hyped. Ultimately, if your shit is good and you keep at it and are determined, someone is bound to notice.
