Unlock background layer.
Image -> Canvas size...
Increase dimensions to include desired border.
Create new layer.
Drag new layer behind original layer.
Fill new layer black.

I really want to get a nice camera. Can anyone recommend a nice DSLR? I have a point and shoot but I really want something with more power and better image quality.

Hi everybody !
A few days ago a friend of mine gave me a Minolta HI-Matic E camera he found in his attic. It's pretty similar to the Canonet 18 I already own I guess, but are there any opinions on this camera ? How's the lens, how good is the automatic exposure,... ?

I wasn't sure whether to post it or not, since all your photos are beautiful and made with quality stuff, but oh well, there it is!
Picture I took with my Iphone 3g when I was in Stockholm last January. Really stoked with how it turned out really, I personally like the winter light and the photo gives my impression of Stockholm, amazing place, looking forward to go back.
P.s. mind I shot it from a bus so the mirror makes the photo even shittier.

This past weekend Baltimore had a Grand Prix so my girlfriend and I went down to check it out. Here are some shots.

Also stoked to be shooting Large Format for a photography class soon.

Frig Deuce, you are awesome.

Finally getting back into shooting, got a few roll developed but forgot to order CDs with them (i dont have a scanner) so i need to go back and get them done. I'm fed up of red lines across my photos (even after taping the camera body) so i'm going to get the crack in my camera body fixed. Shot a few digi pictures at the park just chilling today, might put them up if any are good.

Anyway, quick question. How do you guys organise your photos? It's easy to organise film shots as I just do, 'roll 1' 'roll 2' etc but i find I have millions of folders or digital photos and need a way to sort them logically. Thanks

Organising them per event seems the most logic. As in "Paris 2011" per example or "bbq friend x's place 08/10/'09" or something like that. If it's just random landscape shooting or stuff like that then you could as well organise them per date or otherwise per subject or style of shooting. ("forests" or "long exposure shots"...)
I always put them in maps like that right away after getting them off my camera or off the cd with the scans.

Events are the best way for me. Everytime I got out, I always shoot a good amount and not just some random shot here and there. iPhoto is pretty good and organizing them for me. I really don't have to do much aside from naming the event.
