I am no photographer, but I have enjoyed playing around with my iPhone since I've gotten it. I really enjoy taking photos of nature and architecture along with there being a bit of grainy texture to the photo... does anyone have any advice for a camera that would fit this purpose?

Here are a few iPhone photos from this Thanksgiving break:

Got a Pentax ME Super, really like it except for the fact that the shutter seems to be locking up in the cold.

Anyway, here is some stuff that isn't horrible from my first two rolls.  They won't sit straight in my scanner and I haven't taken the time to crop them.

The last photo has the burn on the left side because, like an idiot, I opened up the back of my camera too early.

Thanks.  Agreed on the camera, compact and easy to use for someone who is at a beginner level like myself.

Just realized today that I can use hearing aid batteries to make the light meter on my old canon work. Pretty stoked on that.

Dave, im not sure about canon, but i think most old slr's with built in light meters run off LR-44 batteries if you were looking to stock up, if youbuy a bulk batch you should be set for a long ass time

I picked up an eight pack of the hearing aid batteries from walgreens for seven dollars. I think I'm pretty set.

Shooting a lot less than I used to now days, haven't touched my 35mm since the end of summer. I find there is no point taking photos for the sake of taking photos if i'm not stoked on where I am, and all autumn/winter I have been really busy working etc. Finally got a roll back from when I went to New York in June (took me forever to get it developed), happy with some of the shots but bummed because I lost the second roll and whilst the first roll was about things I saw, the second one was about the people I met. I've got one more roll from when I went to Manchester in August so i'll develop that soon. I made a tumblr to upload them, not going to clog the thread but here is a couple I like - they are just things I saw as I walked the streets, no overthinking

http://stinkfunk.tumblr.com/

If anyones interested i'll be uploading my shots from manchester soon and I plan to update the blog throughout next year as I go to paris, back to new york, tokyo and anywhere else
