That city photo is rad Fongstarr and the back story behind it makes it all the better. Also, love those shots Cadillac. Like Fongstarr said, the mood is all eerie like I'm on the set of a scary movie. Diggin it!

Your juggling of light and layers is very well done in those three shots CRD.

Some shots form last night at Sutro Bath in SF. Had to shoot it when there was hardly any light just so the camera gave off more color. Looks way better on photo then in person. Only thing that sucked is I had to break the panoramic into two cause my lens wasn't wide enough.

Fongstarr, those first two are so relaxing, love how the colours merge.

I got bored the other day and took a photo of a frying pan... and a monster.

Don't quite know where to post this, but thought this might be the best place?

The Danish skateboard magazine Wunderbaum just came out with its 10th issue (does one a year). I had a lot of photos in the mag and though some of it might be interesting for some of you guys. Its just good danish skateboarding all the way through. There is even a Wenning interview i helped do in there, its in English though.

I shot the first two Check ?ts and the Fallen commercial, and some gallery stuff like the fs crooks. But I hope you enjoy the magazine and can get some stuff out of it even though the text is in Danish!

I got all new gear in the past 4 months or so. Got a Canon Mark 2 when it had the $400 rebate and my girl got me the 24L 1.4L lens for X-mas. Like the new change from my Nikon but if I had the money, I would have gotten a D800 instead.

I am trying to put in a good effort into shooting more. Even though I hate bringing out my tripod, I have gotten some good night shots. I need to go to some other locations though cause I am practically shooting the same stuff but with a new camera.
cool, that's the same camera I've been looking at buying for 3 months now.have u shot any skating video with it?should look amazing with the L lenses too. I have to say the photos do look a lot better then your older camera. hoping to find one used for around 1200 sometime soon.
I;m sure i;m not the only dc/monster/subaru type guy here

Thanks yo. I think I went OD on the saturation of the photos with the Nikon but at least most of the photos had decent white balance to it. For some reason with this Canon, I can't seem to make it look natural, especially with light bulbs. I do the custom white balance but it looks like something from a hospital room. I do wish I got the D800 but it's just way out of my price range. The Mark 2 just seemed like a better buy and so many people have excelled in their photos with it that I just had to get it.

As far as video, I haven't even shot anything but a budy of mine has shoots with it and makes it look sick. I also know the Canon T3i and T4i are just as good with better frame rate but you have to get a different fisheye other then the 15mm that the Canon has.

Here's a video he did. His edits are crazy but all in good fun.

His current stuff can be seen here: https://vimeo.com/dustinleary/videos

I love all your night shots Fongstarr. I know you've probably addressed this a ton of times, but what cam and lens are you using? Also, how long are the exposures for these pics? Do you ever mess around with ND filters for long exposure stuff? Sorry for the plethora of questions.

^^^Thanks for the help with that. And most night shots were shot at like f/18-f/22 at about 25-30 seconds. I am going to try and get a remote soon but they fucking cost almost $60-100 where as my nikon one was $12. Never messed with ND filters yet. Would like to do some long exposure during the day as well but the night ones are fine to study right now. I probably need to get the remote first and will get some filters later.

I am also finally reading up on shooting RAW which is so fucking dumb why I never did. I just got CS6 so I am finally going to see what the big deal is with editing since editing on JPEG can get pretty trivial sometimes.

Thanks Fongstarr, I appreciate the info! I'm really thankful to be in walking distance to the beach. Here are some pics I got of birds the other day.  My favorite is this first one. Sorry the pics are so big.
