Im grateful with this. Such a great feeling when some magazine print something you create. I shoot film with old cameras. I really enjoy the whole process. You need to be sure what the hell you re doing. What this and what that. And finally you have a photo on your hands and remember what the hell you was doing at that exact moment some time later. Like magic.
I shoot for fun and just film. I paid part of my studies doing photo sessions. Whatever people want me to do. Weddings, babies, dogs. Skateboards companies. A local shoe company. Now Im super selective with doing sessions. Right now I work only with people who want me to shoot film. I dont know but I cant go back to digital. And right now I work and dont really need that extra cash. I prefer to enjoy my saturdays with my skateboard.
This one was a sunday afternoon. The light was beatiful and we was chilling after some friend of us got a trick on this rusty handrail. I was shooting the trick of my friend so I had my old Canon TLB with me and some other friend was recording the trick. This camera have the "superpower" to create beatiful light leaks. I cant believe the reults. And the fun thing about the whole process its that I never know how really the light leaks are going to be. But they are always EXACTLY when the photo need the light leak. I cant believe that at all and I love that camera. So...I shoot two and we move on to the skatepark to finish the afternoon skating.
Maybe a year later was print. Check this magazine its really cool and its all about latin america skateboarding.
