Those are the only doctors that ACTUALLY care about you. Been going to the same one since i was 14 (24 now) and she never gave up hope for me or let me get away with shit. Other doctors, mainly psychologists dropped me in a heart beat when they couldn't deal with me. I was huge mess then but im glad shes been with me for this whole journey
She must be stoked, you're a success story. From not leaving the house to learning all new ledge tricks & banging tinder broads/getting sober.

I was fucked up last night and didn't even see Skatan's good news

Congrats bro!
[close]

Thanks bro!!

Had the conversation with the recruiter today. It went pretty well. They interested in hiring me for their Originals program. They just want me to do a hard task in 2 weeks to see how I handle it. If I do well it's a full time job, not even a internship. I'm feeling hyped but also the presure. I hope I do well enough!

Moving up in the world! Congratulations, you'll do great in Adidas.

Lot's to be stoked on. My slow journey into becoming a real chef is taking place. I landed a Sous position five weeks ago and I love it so far. I'm also helping my friend/mentor at a new restaurant in Berkeley. Just one day a week there though. To add to my exuberance, he added some my creations to the menu. I also haven't been drunk in five months. Even hit a few meeting this week and my depression dissipated after I stopped taking antidepressants. Go figure. Yesterday was one of those rare days where every trick I tried I landed.
On a sad note. One of my roommates just moved/kicked out the house this week and started using hard drugs again. He been clean for awhile. In just three days, he lost his home, his job, and his girl. It was too much to handle and he drove off a cliff and died. Not stoked on that fact. It puts my own sobriety in check. Shit is too real. Just wished he talked to someone. I feel so bad for his daughter.

Congrats!That's a pretty big win!

While I don't drink outside of the weekend or smoke weed and don't go nowhere near hard drugs, this is why I love Slap.
I get to hear these real world stories and I take them as advice. Beating an addiction is some serious shit and I get stoke off when you guys share you've been sober for X amount of time because everyday is a big deal. I wanted to keep it positive but, I am grateful of these experiences.

Cracked my board today, sounds weird to be stoked on but it felt good, haven't done any real damage to a board in quite a while. Plus I'm now one step closer to the Matt Town board on deck

Signed up for a paid, quitting smoking study.

Pretty happy cause I genuinely have been wanting to quit lately, and also $$$

But is there a possibility I could be tested for weed for this study? Anyone have any experience/insight?

Ha it absolutely is

I think it's interesting that the main focus of the study is why people gain weight, when they quit smoking cigarettes

No one asked for my opinion but, good for you. You should also consider stopping weed as both are similar and you might just move your addiction for smoking tobacco to smoking weed.

As for my theory, it is because you are used to having something in your hand and mouth. Thus you turn to snacking and eating which leads to weight gain for some people. Others may find another physical activity.

Again, I apologize for interfering and making suggestions that are unasked for

No, it's always cool to hear other people's input.

I don't smoke a lot of pot anymore really, but enough that I would fail monthly tests, if I had to take them.
I'm gonna cut down on pot when I'm quitting nicotine anyway, cause nothing triggers a cig craving for me more than weed. It would just be torturous.

What's funny is before I entered a 2 month rehab program 6 months back, I was down to like three a day.
While I was in the program, I even quit for a couple weeks, and then went back to a few a day.
But as soon as I completed my program and got back home, I started smoking like a fiend. Like 30 a day.

I think it was a combo of being sober all the time, and having the freedom to buy my own, instead of always having to bum off my friends at rehab/smoke the shitty free rehab house cigarettes. Getting help quitting would definitely be good for me right now. and also $$$

It's pretty neat, I'm pretty stoked.

Images ended up on a shirt and labeling for Homoki's signature hardware.
I love the idea of the hardware being in roll containers, too.

That's sick, congrats

I was just saying how I thought it was cool when 3d packaged their hardware in film canisters (in sets of 9 too, I think)?
Really whenever companies put a little effort and creativity into packaging and minor stuff, it adds a lot of character to the product
