I gained a second niece last night and I'm so excited. I'm up to 6 nieces and nephews now.
Congratulations dude. I'm sorry to go a bit (unnecessary/uncalled for) dark here, but the love I have for my three nieces and nephew (and the joy I've had watching them grow up into teenagers) has been a really fucking big part of me recovering from a suicide attempt and coping with the anxiety and depression that came after that. That's how fucking fun it can be to be an uncle. Enjoy that shit. It matters. But you probably didn't need me to remind you of that at all. Oh and if you find a way to get them into skateboarding let me know; I've only had some very temporary sucesses with that.
Now what I came here for:
British comedian James Acaster (whom I love) watches/listens to skateboarding podcasts to relax. He's never skated, and doesn't strike me as someone who hangs around with Tom Knox and Blondey on the daily. He just finds it comforting to listen to I guess (I've got shit that I listen to sometimes like that). I wonder what podcast it is. Probably, considering all factors, the Nine Club (James Acaster is absolutely the guy that would correctly identify anyone like Jason Ellis, let alone Tim Pool, as the complete pricks that they are and just not watch any further). But I really hope it's the Bunt, in whatever way that could have happened. No, Gifted Hater actually. Maybe I should casually drop that name somewhere for him (he doesn't use social media though).
At 8:00. I've heard him mention this two or three times before, outside of this interview here, but I don't remember where or when. I don't know why I'm stoked about this, but I am.
