Throw myself under, I bought this one. Looking for one for a while and took that wallet hit, but some Pennys go for more.

No harm done brother this is a fantastic board and a steal for what you got it for.

In it's condition I would say upwards of 600 - 800 for this but either way, such a rad graphic and clean too!

I sold my TWS collection on eBay last week and barely made $20. This was after getting $180 and $200 for much smaller collections of Big Brother and Thrasher.

I kind of regretted listing the BBs because the articles were still a blast to read and they were from an era when I was skating my best. Didn’t give a shit about the Thrashers - they looked like shit and articles were unreadable (except the music stuff).

Didn’t think I gave a shit about the Transworlds but before packing them up I went through them all and was instantly transported back to my childhood. There were so many iconic photos that I had poured over for hours. Dreams of tricks I one day hoped to land myself. Crazy spots I wanted to skate. Packing that shit up I felt like Rocky Dennis in Mask taking the pins off his map that had marked the places he wanted to visit before dying but never did.

Unexpectedly super depressing. Part of me definitely wishes I had kept everything but I had to clear it out of my mom’s basement and I don’t really have the room in my house. Maybe it’s a sign to get better at letting stuff go? Focus on adventures I did have?

Anyway, sorry to derail - hope the buyer is stoked.

I've sold about 150 magazines since Thanksgiving, and I'm with you in not giving a shit about sending out the Thrashers.  Still have two boxes to go.

This website has a load of magazine PDFs. From 1960s Skateboarder, 1980s Thrasher, 1990s Transworlds, Big Brothers etc.

The pictures suck, the writing sucks, the vibe is whack. How they ended up on top I’ll never know.

I got burned on some "deadstock" Stage 10 149s on eBay. Stage 10 baseplates on new Stage 11 hangers. Makes sense now why the photos were focused on the baseplates. Seller played dumb and denied. Doubt there is anyway to prove this to ebay.

Wow I can't believe I missed this one.

For that price too, insane.

The firm decks don't seem to be available anywhere unless we're talking tech deck versions, same with vov decks.

Though I was surprised to see more from these guys https://westernskateco.com/search?q=the+firm&options%5Bprefix%5D=last bunch of Matt beach and vov for a lot more than this

Is that what firm is worth to people these days?

If super bb was a few hundred less maybe I'd consider it? I understand they are rare but damn  :o. I just have vivid memories of Can't stop playing in my head right now

The undead angel series I have not seen or heard of and it looks like lance did the art for that series, if anyone has any more info on these decks please let me know 🙏

Hi @Ex Lion Tamer you're doing great work

If you see another board like this please let me know please. The pink version of this board was my first real skateboard that I bought at Val Surf.

This is a price I could afford and would easily go to $2000 or $3000 if it's just like my first board. I thought these boards were going for closer to 10 grand

I would have bought this board and held onto it forever or till I could trade it for my colorway

Thanks again for the work you do

nah. westernskateco prices are detached from reality. You should be able to snag a late era Firm board for a couple hundred bucks give or take.

This is also my first board, but not a Mini.  Black with red and blue.  But I know I can't afford one, been looking for 15 years.

This might be what you are looking for.  Condition seems okay.

Hard to say, you'd have to ask a seasoned Birdhouse collector. Also, generally speaking, prices have been a lot lower over the last year or so. Ive seen boards in this thread sell for 2-3X as much during the 2020-2022 frenzy years

$200+ maybe to the right collector I would guess.

Have seen some random ass Birdhouse boards go for a ton. I, personally, would pay 20 bucks. A G is a out of control but if it still had Heaths name I would believe someone would pull the trigger, or if it was the lineup from The End

i was working at a skate shop in 2022 and somebody came by with the rene matthyssen from this series. homie bought it in the mid 90’s because he wanted to start skateboarding but the gear was too expensive back then and he could only buy the deck and never got the rest of the parts, so he never started skating but kept the board around. his daughter eventually found it and liked the graphics so the guy decided to finally set it up for her. i had no idea what the deck was but the shape was very 90’s, obviously somebody on here identified it, i advised the guy to set it up cruiser style with risers and all to preserve the deck and told him to cop another deck if his daughter ever wanted to get into tricks. not really related but i thought it was a cool story. i still have the homies phone number too, maybe i'll let him know that a different deck from the series went for almost 2k in our currency lol lol
