I think the people saying this is like a Bronze video are funny. The only similarities are 3d graphics and skating. Bronze is so much more loud and hyper than Sci-Fi.
I'm Jerry's age and I thought the music was amazing. I've always had a soft spot for skate videos that venture a bit further from the classic soundtrack. I think the multiple partial songs per part were a good call to keep people's attention over the full 30+ minutes (and maybe helps with licensing?). Although I thought Max's song was perfect and 100% matched his personality, I will have to mute that shit in future playthroughs because "isn't the world a craaazy place" has been looping in my brain for the past week.
Overall though, I loved this. I hope there's more in the future. I bought some merch immediately after watching the video and I'm hoping a lot of other people did too so they'll keep making fun, creative videos. I'm old and I can't directly take the inspiration and apply it to skating, but videos like this that are at least somewhat thoughtful make me excited to think about different approaches in my other creative endeavors.
