How you gonna be a top truck company and not even be able to properly distance your brand from an outdated logo and create a new one that catches and appeals? The fact that they can’t come up with a valid replacement logo that packs a punch and they feel a need to backtrack really shows us just how much they can’t adapt to an everchanging market. It’s a good thing I’m here to do their dirty work and come up with just the perfect logo that they can use that’ll satisfy all markets and all sides:

I’m not trying to re-open a can of worms but I think it does merit a discussion about why they’d choose to give in after nearly 5 years post cross removal. Did the Barney’s in every Indy comment section finally wear them down? Is America’s political climate finally just right for NHS to stick it to the libs? Will Indy see a rise or drop in sales due to this? Feel free to leave your thoughts.

"Give in" implies that NHS removed the logo because they thought it offended someone (i.e., could hurt sales). They've always maintained that it is based on the cross alisee (which is partially true, mostly bullshit) and never gave any explanation why it was retired. in the modern age there would be an online petition or investigative video or some remnant of digital outrage over the logo. All of this misinformation stems from a disgraced right wing podcaster who has not only appropriated the logo for his own economic gain, but has sadly become a trusted news source for aging skaters.

TBH I like the OG cross logo and gear but I can live without it. That’s kinda my take as well, grew up with that logo everywhere, had it on t shirts and hats, it was super iconic and very tied in with being “a skater” to me when I was a kid.

That being said, I did start to feel uncomfortable wearing it at a certain point after I grew up and started learning more about its use by the Nazis and white nationalist groups. I knew the Indy cross was just a skate logo, but someone else might see me and make the wrong connection and that was enough to make me not want to wear it.

This. The influx of the low-brow hordes upon the Indy cross discourse on socials gives little hope for humanity. Reactively defining and redefining "woke" to whatever end necessary for them is really just a cry for help. It's sad that people are so uncomfortable in their mortal coil.
