Oh god, don't even get me started on the clips of someone throwing their board down in HD just to cut to VX footy of the dude in different clothes riding up to a trick. That shit was terrible. I should have got a stopwatch and done a comparison of actual skating time to lifestyle time in the video. Yeesh.

sadly thats editing , and its meant to add more detail to a video, sometimes it doesn't which is a bummer, but sometimes it works, people are just tryin to be to artsy now a days.

However i think if instead of showing random clips of a building or diferent clothes shots or whatever, if you some how created a story(visually) about the trick (which is really wat editing is all about) now you couldnt do that with every trick of course, but i think it could be a way to may a skatevideo a little more entertaining sometimes. How ever this could be just me being artsy in a different way, but after film school and learning to cut Movies i think it could work if shot properly.

Or im a complete person and videos should just be raw skating like the good ol days...

seriously. the first few times i watched it i just let it flow, but after i started watching it on with more attention i noticed that the clip of them riding towards something would be in different clothes or at a different spot or something. but i'll respectfully disagree with you on jeff lenoce's skating. always been stoked on it.
