Here's a picture of my cruiser I just got a week ago, in front of the fountain in the reforma in Mexico City. Got pretty lost and I was skating around the city for a couple hours and I'm glad I had this. It would suck if I just had my setup with tiny ass lil hard spitfires.
The setup:
Tired 8.75 golf board
Thunder 149 II raw trucks
OJ Hot Juice wheels 60mm (wish the shop had non-mismatched sets.)
Spitfire Classics bearings (not completely sure, they might be burners. Whichever ones have blue shields.)
Shorty's plain bolts
Two soft 1/8 riser pads per truck (sector 9 I think :/ )

Homer Simpson x Santa Cruz Board

I rarely like em, but they look great on your board

Coming into this thread makes me realize I need to set up my cruiser. I've had the board for about a year now. Haha

The new daily commuter:

Welcome Miller w/mob m-80
ACE 55s w/88a indy aftermarket bushings and magnesium plates
60mm Bones ATFs / Andale 7s
1/8" indy shock pads
1" Indy bolts

You can just barely see the edges of the wheels due to how much the board tapers.

oh shit that's dope how wide and where'd you get the wood from? i was looking at some green spitfires, but alas i already own a green pair of wheels and will not be owning another set of non white wheels.

I made it at a consproject in toronto. I think it is just like the create a skate wood. the concave and wheelbase and stuff was already pre-cut out so it was just the shape, graphic, and grip that I really did. The wheels were from an old cruiser I had. They are the 80hd's and I bought them off so-cal in like 2012. Nice wheels.

Any of you guys try the OJ Mini Hot Juice wheels?

Found an old blood wizard cruiser in a closet and was gonna set it up with some old 109s i have laying around, hoping the OJ's would cut down on the magic carpet effect

I had bad luck with them. I put 55mm Hot Juice on my kid's cruiser and they are fine for her but I like to carve around and really dig them in... Anyway, they crack and split pretty easily. I'd recommend the Ricta clouds or another regular shaped wheel. The 86as are really nice.

Yeah, are they the 56mm clear orange ones which have straight edges (70's style)? If so, I would not buy them, I had a set but the urethane was crappy nearly all of the wheels cracked/split around the edges. Chunks broke off.

The keyframe wheels are way better. Smoother and with more bounce to them.

The little doodies round orange like wheels look fun...

My new baby. Flip P2 David Gonzales, Diamond Ace 33's, 54mm OJ Keyframes (87A), Pig Rails, Indy mounting hardware and generic ceramic bearings. So much fun!  ;D

this has probably been asked in this thread somewhere but how are those OJ Keyframes?  I want something faster than the spitfire 80's but still soft enough to cruise down the cratered street I live on.

They're  pretty good smooth over cracks and rough asphalt, worth a try.

Your 80HD's are slow? Mine are super fast! The keyframes are the same, soft wheel. There might be a duro difference but I can't tell. Try Soft D's, like 92s.

eh not exactly slow, that wasn't the right word... i'm not sure what it is but it's almost like they're too smooth?  I was riding Powell Bombers for awhile and those felt great, just don't get smaller than 60.. and i have this neurotic thing about wanting my cruiser to be as close to my regular board as possible.

Curious to try the ATF's, if there anything like the old DTF's(I think they just might have changed the name of the formula?), they are great comprise between hard and soft, both smooth and pretty easily slid

I wanted to try something shaped differently.
Powell Peralta Steve board (Not Sure on the size)
Independent 149
Bones Super Reds
Bones Classic 92a 64mm
Mob Grip
Shorty's 1" hardware

(I really need risers)
Nothing I do deserves more than an iphone camera.

It tapers and I felt 159 fit a little too big. Thank you
