Alright… help me make a decision. I have a 9 inch Heroin Dead Dave Double Shovel and Venture 6.1 Trucks… OJ Super Juice 60mm or OJ Mini Super Juice 55mm cruiser wheels? I run 56mm Spitfire F4 Conicals on my regular set up, Ohio has some crusty streets. The 60mm Super Juice seems like they would be too heavy?

60s for speed, 55 for fun. I just set up my cruiser with 58s and I sort of wish I’d gone with 56s because it’s been a lot of fun to pull it out every couple of sessions and do some tricks.

i went with 55's for the reason @BartHarleyJarvis mentioned, and if you're worried about weight it sounds like you'd be doing more than just rolling around. the closest i can compare is i have some 58 rough riders that i do feel add a bit of weight, but i don't do much on that other than jumping some curbs and such. anyway, long story short, i find the 55s fun to ride and don't run into crust or pebble issues on them.

Almost a Christmas Complete except for the set of Indy 149s I had.
Quasi Please Go To Hell
Aforementioned Indy 149s on 1/4 Indy risers
Bones Reds
OJ Hot Juice 60mms
Mob clear because it's my beach cruiser and I got a blue top so why not
[close]

Always like the shape of this Quasi board combined with the short wheelbase.

It's super fun! My regular board right now has a 14.25 wheelbase and Venture V-Hollow Lows so this with Indy highs and risers feels like the diametrically opposite turning experience.

Last winter I ran some 60 Super Juice and 139s on a big 9" shape and it was really nice, super fun. This looks great.

Buddy just moved into a new apartment and immediately had his catalytic converter ripped off his car. Bought the deck for his birthday and the rest came from my old parts bin, thought a new cruiser might cheer him up.

Polar Dane 1 Jr. 8.65"
Indy 149
Mini Logo 58mm 97a
some old shit bearings. Maybe reds with shields removed
1-1/2" phillips hardware I bought on accident
a wavy sheet of Mob I forgot I had. Fucked up the grip job too

So I trimmed down a deck to a little egg shape but don’t have proper trucks for it yet. I was bored with some spare parts the other night and I can now present to you the, soon-to-be dismantled, Riserizer.

Features a 1/4” hard riser and two 1/8” soft risers per truck.

It sucks.  :D

OJ Superjuice 60mm 78a vs Ricta Clouds 60mm 78a

Pretty similar? If not what are the pros and cons? Thanks in advance

60 mm Ricta Clouds are awesome wheels. Roll over anything. Haven’t tried the OJs myself. The Rictas aren’t completely symmetrical so flipping them at least will look funky. Not sure if the wheels are otherwise symmetrical or if it’s just the outer edges being different.

The clouds are Rictas only good wheel, great cruiser wheel and a shape that lends itself to actually being skated if so desired.

The super juices are more strictly a cruiser wheel, but if you really wanna make ‘em work for gettin busy on a ledge you could. But they’re pretty heavy.

If you’re really torn, get Oj Keyframes. It really comes down to personal preference between these and the clouds but they have a more square shape like the superjuice and are more adaptable.

I’ve got both on cruisers and prefer the clouds. A bit smoother ride in my experience. Both are super soft at 78a so I haven’t tried to do much with them trickwise, but if you’re looking for something functional I agree with the poster who suggested key frames. If you just want something that’s fast and smooth, I would recommend going up to the 66mm slimeballs. Def faster than either the clouds or ojs and you can get away with using 1/4 risers.

Thanks for yall answers,

I was interested in the clouds, but after reading yall I think I'm gonna keep my OJ Superjuice 60mm on my current cruiser setup till they blow out. Then maybe gonna go with the big Clouds. Might try them before on a smaller setup in like 56-58mm tho. They seem to get a lot of love over here as slimmer cruiser wheels along with the Keyframes.

I have a set of 52mm (I think) Keyframes and they are great for cruising around the hood AND for crusty street spots/parks with rough asphalt.
SML makes a good cruiser wheel too if you cruise and do tricks sometimes too.

So... I just bought some oj super juice, second time I took them out they started chunking pretty bad, it sucks cos they roll super smooth on our rough roads. Pretty disappointed, I had keyframes on before which are awesome, I'll probably just go back to them. Not too impressed really.

Try rough riders. They only chunk when doing slappies. They are fast and smooth and have great rebound.

Key frames are cool for an all around wheel but are a bit slow for a cruiser.

Never tried Super juice but I can’t see them stacking up to Rough Riders…

Wanted to set up a little cruiser-ish board that I could still do tricks on

Polar 7.875
Independent 139
Spitfire F4 OG Classics 55mm 99A
Reds

Might try some slightly softer wheels if I ever get round to actually skating it

I just finished setting up this new cruiser for this summer. First time doing a grip job that was anything other than a simple single line, and I am stoked on how it came out. Now I just need all the snow to melt here in MN...

This looks amazing, I'm running the same shape with 60mm super juice and 139s (to accommodate for the extra width from the wheels). The small trucks and wide wheels make me feel like I am locked into a track when I do slappy 5050s on it.
