Nate Keegan told me he was screaming at some Aquarium locals about how fitted caps are gay and then shows up with one three days later telling everyone that they bit his style.

i'll list a few that i can think off of the top of my head

i was with him when he was capturing footage for that massacre part you posted, and he kept blabbing on and on about how he wanted them to put the footage of him fucking that girl with the circa shirt in the video. at that point he had been staying out at the shortys park. matt roman, the owner of coliseum at the time bought him a plane ticket out there, some time later muska bought him a ticket to get the fuck out of california and matt met him at the airport and handed him a ticket to go right back

i can't remember the story but he was claiming to be going to japan to film gangstarr music videos

i was told to never say him name three times in a row because something bad would happen, like if you said bettlejuices name three times in a row. i jokingly said it and the phone started to ring after i finished. i picked it up to get a "YO. IT"S FUCKING SCHIZO. I"M COMING DOWN. I'LL BE THERE IN AN HOUR" and sure enough he was there five minutes later. he was there hitting on my friends fifteen/sixteen year old girlfriend(this was years ago)

he brought a steak knife to coliseum wrapped up in a newspaper once because he wanted to cut off this kid wild will's tongue. we threw it on the roof

he would come into the shop demanding free stuff and money because everyone got paid for wonderful horrible life, but he thought the thousand bucks he got wasn't enough. he thought that the video really sold over a million copies despite that being on the cover the first day the video came out

berra announces the unified program
everyone on the 1st couple of pages says its cool idea
he says the shops who sign up will be core and important
then we find out hes trying to charge shops $600 a year for a simple directory listing,
now they too can be labeled core and important by the berrics, awesome! 
then come to find out that he wants some ridiculous amount of money to run actual ads.
he wasn't upfront about any of it, he tried to make it sound like he was helping out the small shops but really helping himself to some of their money.
this rubs everyone the wrong way and all hell breaks loose
this is followed by a bunch of posts about scientology and berra hate
people begin to question his motives and his agenda which is pretty much, money
so he releases another video explaining it more thoroughly followed by koston telling everyone to go fuck their faces
people understand it but doesn't change the shit he said/did, plus now everyone knows kostons a dick too
i might be off with the order of events on this one but then the berrics announces that west 49, the canadian version of zumiez as one of its "core" and "important" shops....talk about a kick in the nuts to all the shops that signed up already for his core program.   
more hate and bitching continue of all things berra and berrics
people ask more valid questions followed by more berra/scientology hate
he or one of his followers show up to defend himself but refuses to answer the tough questions.

thats when berra or whoever called up slap and out of nowhere, some admin shows up and deletes the celebrity centre acct.
so in true slap fashion, more fake accounts emerge, namely dudes who follow donovans tweets(again, i can't believe i had to type that)
then more berrics hate threads pop up, more craziness ensues so the threads are merged into one and here we are.

I think people would atleast die down if the berrics came out and said publicily that it wasn't their place to enter the shop market.

I think the only way to go about doing that would be to stick strickly with the west 49 deal, or cut it off with them completely and work only with shops, you know, the same type of shops you were brought up with, that probably 99% of the dudes who appear on the berrics should gratefully be backing.


its all about the $$$$ in these hard times...can't get too down on the berrics for going with the bigger, more consistant suppliers. after thinking about what I could do to help change things all I really figured I can do is give up watching the berrics. my loss for now, I love being able to watch current footage of people right at my computer but I know the whole online skatevideo/creative scene in general deserves to pop up sooner than later!

If all this is true, I think The Berrics are making smart moves.

Those guys realise they've already lasted longer as pros than most. They have the captive audience. They have the credibility. They could be a big success if they started an online mail order service on a grand scale. People are always waxing lyrical about how we should support skater-owned companies. That's exactly what The Berrics is.

I appreciate that this will be an inconvenience for smaller independent shops. But competition makes the world go round.  Without it, we'd probably all still be trundling down hills on clay wheels. Or livin' the good life as single cell organisms.

Besides, I reckon The Berrics would put a much bigger dent in the sales of companies like Zumiez.
