The prison-killing montage was so genius. Crazy how many times they just stab someone with a small cell-made objects. The last one was pretty intense too! Great series that is coming to a great ending. How many episodes are in this next season?

vince gilligan says they havent even written the next 8 episodes so summer 13 is the most realistic start date of next season. I hope the season break pays off in a mind blowing conclusion. but it seems like a suspect ploy to milk the dvd sales by being able to release two more sets.

question to refresh my memory:

That Walt Whitman book was part of the evidence in Gale's murder, correct?
The flashback was at Hank's house when Walt was over there right?

Does that mean that Walt took the book from Hank's to fullfill his ego?
OR did Gale write that in ANOTHER book for Walt?

im confused.

no, the evidence hank had at his house was a folder of lab notes, words and doodles gale had with him when he was murdered at his home.
as far as i'm aware this is the first time we've seen the whitman book gale gave to walt when they cooked together.

Im pretty sure no one knew of the book and the writers threw that in there too make the story go on further. so gale gave it to walt sometime when they were co workers. and about the evidence idk hank cant just go and arrest walt because of that book, who knows how hank is going to get walt. its going to be interesting to say the least.

theres scenes where walt is sitting around reading the book, earlier in this season when he's moving back into the house with skyler he finds the book in a box and smiles

that scene may have rendered the Scared Straight program obsolete. scared the shit out of me

gale's lab notes, gale wrote the same thing about his other favorite W.W. in both the book he gave walt and in his lab notes

^ correct.

gale quoted the book in his lab notes. the whitman book on top of the can was a gift from gale to walter.

hank now realizes that walt and gale knew eachother.

hank's expression implies that he has put all the info together, i.e:

- walt knew gale
- walts initials are w.w.
- walt has an impressive amount of money lately
- walt has always been a master chemist with close ties to the dea through hank

hank now knows walt is heisenberg, more or less.

should be an interesting first episode when it comes back. fuck i cant wait.

an excellent point thugnificent - but hank is quite a responsible man when it comes to the law. if you remember he accepted full responsibility for the beating he gave jesse at his home, which could have landed him in prison if jesse had not dropped it.
i'd imagine hank gives walter a head start and reports the evidence, given walters new look, that new car and weaponry we saw in the flash forward scene in the diner and parking lot earlier in the series.

walters son will OD on blue meth in the final scene of series, betcha.

anyone have a side by side of the book quote and the lab notes quote? that would be rad. And thanks for all the info! I flew through Seasons 1-4 so quickly that things are usually lost in the twilight zone of amazingness.

lol so many theories as to what is going to happen. I have a 20 dollar bet with someone over whether Skyler and Jesse end up fucking, I said they don't, and after the last episode, I'm pretty sure ima get that 20. How it goes from Hank discovering that book, to Walter with a full head of hair and a light machine gun is beyond me though.

hank cant do shit about it though all his medical bills were paid for with walts drug money

Here is Hank, doing shit.

My long-winded prediction below:

Hank will act weird as fuck around Walt and Skyler for a few days while he gathers evidence and information to substantiate and cement his new realization that Walt was connected with Gale. Does Hank realize Walt himself is Heisenberg at this point, or just a cog in the meth cooking operation - who knows? But Hank will confront Walter at his own house days later. Walter and Hank will argue, nearly coming to blows, over Walter's involvement in the meth business and how Hank is going to bring him in. At this point, Hank will discover Skyler dead, as she had smoked the ricin cigarette. This will come as a shock to both Hank (who assumes Walter killed Skyler as a means of covering his tracks) and Walter (who won't know why Skyler is dead, but will be too overcome with emotion to be reasonable with Hank).

There will be a draw of weapons. Hank will fire first, but Walter will fire last. He'll leave in his wake, Hank, dead from a gunshot, and Skyler, dead from ricing intoxication. Marie will take parental ownership over Walt J..Flynn and the little shit. Walter will attempt to make contact with Jesse, who will shut him out one last time (deserving) and Saul will try to arrange an escape plan for Walter.
