To be fair, GISM is lusting over those because it's a durable animal friendly shoe that will actually last more than 2 sessions, so he gets a pass. Not many good vegan options lately, let alone ones in desirable colors (black/white, gray, etc.)

Just a fellow skater/Slapper here browsing the threads haha.
Eventually, I plan on shifting to skating more animal friendly shoes in the future (checking the Vegan shoes thread periodically for info) as I work through my current stack of shoes. Explains how I understood you haha

I think they’re skipping on it just because the authentic, Era, and Old Skool are similar. Kinda like when people egg on Lakai or Emerica for dropping the same shoe. They’re basic Vulc shoes. They should rotate and have 2 of them per drop and mix things up a bit.

Adidas keeps dropping my favorite cupsoles from the lineup.  Going back awhile, the Ronan, to the Busenitz ADV (my favorite), to the Suciu II's, which I know where maligned, but once I perfected the sock pull while putting the shoe on, was totally fine, and probably the most supportive out of the lot.

What's your favorite Adidas cupsole that they currently offer, and hopefully will offer for more than a few seasons.  I'm considering Tyshawn's or 3st.004.  What you got?

I'm waiting on a new pair of the Superstar ADV, without the Adiprene insoles.
Curious to try them even though I'm skeptical, and will update once I have a chance.
Assuming they won't be around for very long though, seems to be full runs in stock everywhere they're available.

I don't like the 3st.004 that much and I can't put my finger on why maybe it's the heel

I like city cups I've had 2 pairs although I broke my big toe pretty badly skating in those

I'm skating the 3st.004 atm. Mostly cause they were on sale. My pair got ollie hole within a day, and the heel do kinda screw with me. I'd get the Tyshawns or Campus ADV next. Tyshawns have some pretty solid reviews I believe, in terms of everything!

Same for me with the 3st.004 - the toe is tough as nails, but the bit with the lace holes (eyestay?) gets a hole pretty quick.

FWIW I tried on the Tyshawns and they were the most solid feeling skate shoes I've ever worn. Seems like Adidas really made everything premium on those. I didn't buy them because my brain won't let me get anything at full price, but I was curious to try them on.
