What was everyone's problem with the figgy dos? Think that upper would look pretty good on that thicker g6 sole.

i can just speak for myself but i tried to skate them and i never in my life experienced so little boardfeel. it was absurd, i couldn't tell the difference of standing on the ground and standing on my board. no clue where i stood on the tail/ nose, couldn't feel concave whatsoever.

friend of mine loved his pair though.

think it was the same sole that is on the regular gammas wich keeps me from trying them. figgys with the G6 sole look tight though and i loved that sole on the spanky shoe when i had it

I can’t speak on those exact shoes, but I got a pair of the ksl g6 and I feel the exact same way, absolutely zero boardfeel… shit even driving my car was like when you go from wearing shoes and switch to boots, I don’t know if it gets better when they break in? But if this is what most cupsoles feel like I think I’ll stick with Vulcs.

I saw someone at the skate park today wearing the Rowan wafflecup shoe, must have been a vans or fa rep. It has a thicker sole than the other wafflecup shoe, more like the Berle shoe. Looked really cool though and really want to get them.

A wafflecup Rowan sounds so sick. Were they just generic black & white?

They are a perfect collab. Just an embossed SJ on the side and little on tongue. Insole is decorated but you won’t see that

G6 cups do need to break in, but if you went from a vulc straight to the KSL, I get exactly why your feet would feel nothing. That’s a big leap. But if you’re used to other, thinner cupsoles, I’d think it would be faster to get used to if (that’s my experience anyways).

They look alright. But I can see them being color changing to a green or yellow.

I went from Half Cabs to Tiagos and can feel the pedals of my car fine. On the board it was definitely strange for a few weeks but when I recently skated Half Cabs again it wasn't hard to adjust back and I found no real benefit.

Going from a thinner cup to skating both Figgy dos and the Spanly, my feet felt like they were incased in cement, I felt like the Figgys actually had less support than a fair of Laced, and my back would feel like shit after wearing them.

But I do want to try the new figgy g6 so 🤷🏻

Yeah - treat me yesterday after years straight solo Halfcabs with some new caramel Tiago 1010 - first feel slipping in this was like wow.
First will only use them for walking… but I am very confident the skate well.
Also had yesterday my first LR VM001 on my feet - slimmer but more „stable“ feel the Vans - where positive surprised - like the perfect summer skate shoe.

Palace designed the perfect shoe a few years back (I think just called palace pro) and it never got made as a regular shoe so I'm not too confident this would be regularly available either.

Agree, pretty much strictly emerica cups the paste few years.  No issues here.

I agree peeps would have complained, though I certainly didn’t mind the g6 cup on the spanly reissue. Doubt there will be vegan MJ but if there is, it’s an insta cop from me!
