I love these early 30’s skaters trying to bring slim pants and fancy slicked hair back.
Emerica needs a serious reboot. New shoe designer, new brand manager.
I don’t think they’re struggling. They’re not trying to be all things to all skaters and it seems like they serve the skaters who like that stuff well.
I've seen maybe 4 pairs not on sponsored risers in all of San Diego since I've been here. I never saw a single pair in the Bay. Maybe they do great in Middle Emerica, but even most local shops don't carry them.
The brand is conceptually stale. Same kinda basic, similar thin profile cups/vulcs that are hard to differentiate, a couple reissues, then 6 million slip on colorways and toss in a couple nasty collabs.
Keep the green tint, logo, all that stuff. Don't have to get overly tech just some differentiation in models and riders.
