The navy/white Vincents and low top Echelons are pretty sexy.  The only thing that turns me off of Lakais is the big flare logo, so if you take that away, or make it barely visible, you've some sweet kicks.

I logged in to say these exact things, but you beat me to it. Those BB4s are looking nice. Can't wait to see more versions of all of them. Lakai just killed the shoe color game (FINALLY). I've never wanted so many navy shoes before.

I like that they're making the flare on their shoes much smaller, blending it in better, or completely doing away with it. Those ridiculous neon flares they'd throw on their shoes in the past made shit look like footwear for children. These colourways are on fucking point.

been waiting for them to do this for a while now. a midtop, one piece toecap shoe with the XLK cupsole would be sick. I know they got the Howard Mids coming out soon but I want something more supportive like a dunk or Reynolds mid.

This, not too much gimmicks, just something appealing. I want to try those Howard Mids, but I feel that they will be discontinued after one season. I'd like something that would be a classic that I'd be sure to find season after season, supportive, but not the Telfords (that are already hard to find). I mean how many low vulc models is lakai producing ? Couldn't they get rid of one or two low vulc models and design one mid xlk?

yes a good cupsole midtop from lakai would be sick. i wanna try those reynolds. heard a lot of good things so hopefully emerica won't discontinue them soon. i noticed most reynolds pro model shoes have been released for a while except those reynolds lights- i wished they had made em for a while cause i really liked em.

You're trying way too hard to be edgy (or whatever the fuck you're going for). The construction on every pair of Lakais I've had (especially the cuspoles) was superb. It probably wouldn't hurt to learn what the fuck you're talking about before you run your mouth.

I can't wait to try the new Guy shoe.

... I think my first pair of Lakai were these (in a different colourway)
They were actually tough as fuck, but, quite expensive.

2 or 3 years on from that I skated Lakai loads for a few years, because they were really,really cheap. Then I realised they were lasting about half the lifespan of most shoes and they weren't half the cost. Last few pairs, I just burnt through...

Now, when I see Lakai/Girl stuff in general, it just seems cheaply made to me.

Granted, I haven't bought any of their "new factory" stuff. But, a shop I was in the other day has them for $600 (HK) for any 2 pairs, cheaper than one pair of other shoes. I had a look, but they still looked pretty crap.

I actually thought about getting those, because they meet my requirements from a functional point of view, but they were too ugly, even for me.


I've only owned one pair of dunks 4 or 5 years ago that I found for like 40e, they were some really rare griptape color...
