I like this shoe, but would never wear it. I used to be into Black Label so much back in high school and college...Label used to make you wanna smoke a bunch of weed and shotgun a bunch of beers and go skate.

I used to be really into BL. The Cardiel, Upson, Pronier days. They had a nice resurgence in the early 00s with Speyer, Svitak, Adams, Hensley, Hendrix, Agah, Hassan, etc. I guess that was the Label Kills era.

All that said, I think John Lucero is a complete kook and I'd never spend one penny on anything Black Label. He likes to play the martyr role, a true skateboard purist. But the truth is he is a sheister businessman. That's fine, but stop pretending. I always get a chuckle out of his views on Rocco because they are just dripping with irony.

Vans x Black Label Sk8-Mid Pro

these are sick, but i have a quick question..

Does anybody else feel like any of the Vans "pro" shoes run a little big?  I want to order a pair of these but I'm debating ordering a half size smaller.  Just wondering if anybody else noticed this

I wear 8.5 in most shoes but in vans pros I always get 8.

Those sk8-mid pros look fucking PERFECT.
I think that the pro line fits true to size. And actually, the half cab pros fit half a size small.

I got the hosoi sk8 hi pros and they definitely are very big for a size 10. I wish I would of got a 9 1/2.

My rule of thumb for the vans pro's.
Era pro-true to size
sk8 hi- 1/2 size big
old skool pro- 1/2 size big
sk8 mid pro-true to size
this is based on colorways ive had but could easily change.

I thought the same thing, but I got a pair of 9's when i usually wear 9.5 and my toes hurt every time I wear them.  That said, I always had to tie the 9.5 really tight or they would slip off, so it could just be my foot.  I'm talking about Era Pro BTW.
