I've checked out that other shoe they have called the aventa at my shop the other day. Very similar shoe as most of the midsole is that foam stuff. It feels more or less like the Lunarlon midsoles in the BA's and Prod7s, although I haven't actually skated the sti foam so I can't really speak on its actual performance. Seems promising tho. I like more etnies models now than I have for the entire past 4-5 years so they're making progress

he was wearing Vans in that recent Alien clip in AVE and Dylan's park, but he's on an Etnies trip right now, so he might have been in between contracts

I had a chance to go to a trade show in chicago for Reps only... i'm in no way a rep. just a skateboarder who works part time at a shop... but I got to see the Highlight shoe and its really amazing. Its ridiculously light and fits amazing, and i asked the sole tech rep about the durability of the sole. I guess they had some problems with it being soft and wearing away quickly, so they made a new compound that is supposed to more durable, yet grippy. I've seen bledsoe skating these in some clips, I'm really excited to try them even though im mostly skating thinner shoes that arnt so "techy".

That's just too expensive for a vulc shoe. I don't mind paying $70 for Huf's, because of their quality. But if I'm paying $80, I want a cupsole with tech features.

Kind of pointless as the OG koston 2s were already pretty well designed. If anyone was to even consider buying those I'd imagine they'd just spend $10 more to get a more durable, supportive shoe

agreed.  going to start skating some Koston 2s this weekend.  can't really imagine getting a vulc version of them...especially for that much.  Nike should leave the vulc to the Janoski and Blazer.

They should make a mid version of the koston 2, It would look a bit like the Gravis Arto and I'm sure they would sell it like hot cakes. However, I guess their objectives is not to sell them to skaters

The whole idea of Nike doing the pro model and then vulcing the pro model and then making a mid is just dumb to me. back in the days, you had different options so skate different shoes for that matter. Why does a shoe need to go through so many transformations.

Although I do back the Koston Max. They look sick as hell.

Couldn't agree more. I thought for sure they'd do a Koston Mid. Surprised they haven't. I'd be fine with them basing it off the K1 or K2.

Vans x Black Label Sk8-Mid Pro

these are sick, but i have a quick question..

Does anybody else feel like any of the Vans "pro" shoes run a little big?  I want to order a pair of these but I'm debating ordering a half size smaller.  Just wondering if anybody else noticed this

well these came in the mail today, and yeah... should've gone down to a 9 instead of the 9.5.

goddamn Vans... i don't buy any of this "quality going down" bullshit but I wish they could just make their sizes consistent, so i know what i'm getting when i have to order online.
