I was thinking the same thing. To me, it seems like you could potentially cause the sole to start to separate from your flick.

I was told by Kevin Imamura at Nike that the toe stitching on most shoes does nothing. It's only for aesthetics.

There was tons of shoes with stiching on the toe, you shouldn't worry about it

Ohhh shit, mad hyped to see these are coming. Ive been wanting so skate this shoe, I bought a pair of the non skate versions recently, but they didnt fit great so I returned them. Id love to skate these, hopefully they fight better then the NS ones. Skateboarding needs more midtop cupsoles right now.

ive skated both and id definitely go with the howards. sole felt way better on the howards and upper lasted longer and looks way better looking down at. only downside is they take a while to break in and are definitely a shoe you wanna walk around in for a week before skating

The og busenitz is one of the best pair of shoes ive ever had, cant speak for the howards though, never had a pair of lakais.
