i don't know about that. i'm not really in the market for the shoe. just thought i'd chime in with a positive experience on a fallen shoe for once.

I feel like whatever factory Fallen is using now is the factory that all dying brands switch to once they've lost relevancy.
The shoes just look off. I would 100% believe those were reproduction Fallens from Korea if somebody told me.
The uppers just don't look like they fit the sole, random rubber heel wrap thing. That insoles look like those cheap foam insoles with the red ring around them (soletech 2008ish).

I actually feel like they look a bit better made now, maybe because they felt like absolute garbage back in the day. I had a pair of Forte's that had cardboard under the insole (it was the stroble board), you cant get worse than that. The insoles now actually look like the Nike Lunarlon ones but with red instead of yellow. But dont get me wrong, I still wouldn't be caught dead wearing fallens in 2020...

I had the OG rippers and their name was right. The toe cap ripped in only a few hours of skating.

Say what you will about big brands like New balance, Nike SB etc.. but they seem to have better suede than "core" brands like Fallen, Lakai, Emerica etc...

I won't disagree that the big brands generally have better suede, with some exceptions here and there, but I'm not sure we can even put the current Fallen in the same lineup as those other core brands.

Side note: DC's materials seem to be pretty high quality

Depending on the colorways, Soletech brands have amazing premium pig (or whatever) suede sometimes.

The only pair of Nikes I've ever bought has much floppier suede than any of my Sole Tech shoes, so I'm not buying the superior suede claim.

I think the design of the shoe has more impact. I skated 5 pairs of Lakai Sheffields each for 2 months before any holes. I had a pair of Blazer Chukkas that made the 2 month mark as well. The Nike Bruins I have been skating had a hole after a week.

As far as these Fallen shoes, any shoes with a stitched on suede toe cap is going to tear fairly fast.
