as far as a simple-ish cupsole, the rowley squares were awesome and actually lasted a while. but one of my favorites I personally would love to have pairs of again, were the rowley slims. The "pleased to meet you" tour video got me so hyped to go and buy several pairs of them, especially with Cerezini at the time skating them as well.

Fuck yes the rowley slims were the best, I had the all brown geoff skates in really sorry, I been looking that shoe ever since. I also had the tnt 1 and 3 and the no skool, that era of vans cupsoles were kinda unnecessary puffy but they all skated pretty well.

Dude, how are you not mentioning TNT IIs tho?!

Matt Price (photog/brand manager of CCS) said on the Vert Button podcast that those globe models from yesteryear still fly off the shelves.   I don’t think globe is hurting as a company, just it’s image in core skaters’s eyes

Where’d you get this info? I figured this out about a month ago, but haven’t seen it confirmed anywhere.

My local said Globe was rebranding and said they were going to announce a new team rider with a “big presence” in the industry, or some shit. After about 30 minutes of nerding out with my friend, we landed on Austyn being the new team rider. Checked his IG, and boom! He was skating some Globes!

Woah I found that link that pointandclick posted and the colourway on that Chet Vulc is called White/Montano. So that's Sammy Montano colour way of a Chet IV Vulc High. I like Sammy Montano, but I gotta say, I'm a little disappointed in this development.

Say what you want about Globe but a lot of those shoes actually look nice to me. I’m sure their price tags wouldn’t be to my liking, but most of the models look pretty clean. And they have a ton of vegan options (compared to a lot of other skate shoe companies). Even the gigantic puffy models from yesteryear have vegan models. I’m surprised. Those waste to wear models are rad, I’m sure they’re priced accordingly. I’d skate more than a handful of these more than likely.

gs is a solid vegan offering. looks like it would skate decent. these pop up on sale in full size runs whenever they are old. pretty tempted to keep an eye out.

sucks that globes are mad expensive full priced. they are definetly priced above their prestige. i wonder how the quality overall is with them now because there has to be a reason for it or they would have gone under already. i guess they sell well in australia and asia? i don't see no one skating globes here never. but a decade ago used to work in a shop that sold a decent amount of motleys to little kids. back then i wasn't thrilled by globes quality. i was basically skating emerica or vans only.
