That off-white gum one is the AVE Classic Low or whatever from like 3 or 4 years ago. The black with white eyestay one is the "Bold" i believe is the model name. Was a lifestyle model I saw on their site a year or so ago?

Agreed. Looks like they slimmed it down all around too. But also agree that it would be better without a toecap.

Agreed. Looks like they slimmed it down all around too. But also agree that it would be better without a toecap.

I hope they at least keep the really soft memory foam feeling within the tongue, as well as really good padding around the collar. the picture shows it padded but idk if it's like the mid top. The tongue padding may mean little to some but it was a really nice feature that saved the top of my foot quite a lot when my board would come down on my foot

Almost every brand makes a slim vulc mid/hi top, and some brands make more than one. Emerica Omen Hi, Emerica Wino G6 Mid, Nike Blazer Mid, State Bushwick, State Harlem Uptown, New Balance 213, Vans Crockett Mid, Vans Sk8 Mid/Grosso, Lakai Newport Hi, Lakai Flaco 2 Mid. I believe the Vans Authentic Mid is coming soon as well, and there's also the Nike Janoski Mid and Adidas Matchcourt Mid/High (both discontinued, but you can probably still find them if you hunt).

There's a lot more of those around than there are substantial mid/hi cupsoles.

Thanks for the list! I've been sticking to Sk8-his since I'm afraid other models will eventually get discontinued. I will look into some of those models though to see if the model has a chance of sticking around.

I picked up a pair of Vans Crockett Highs during the 6pm sale and I'm digging the cupsole. My next shoe purchase will probably be the BMX Sk8-hi since they're cupsole but have the same look.
