I like the KSL G6, but as stupid as it is to be picking about such a small feature, the way the side panel/toe box narrows so much going up to the laces...wont ever look right. I get that there may be issues in not wanting to look like AJ Low, but still, from a larger side panel/toe box to a narrow area going toward the laces...it's hard for me to get passed that in how it makes the front of the shoe look altogether.

Seriously - Watson has pointed it out but how the fuck are so many of you people so bad at seeing differences and similarities between shoe models?

I agree though - just reissue a Penny pro model vs. an Accel. Of course, that might mean eS would need to give Penny royalties. And since they wont give Wade a pro model, I assume they're very anti-royalties.

I do love Lucas's new shoe still. So good.

Es gonna be Es. They already make the Accel OG, it’s a lot cheaper to just print a signature on it than it is to recreate the last and everything thag goes along with reissuing their old shoe. Also, royalties like mentioned here already.

I like the KSL G6, but as stupid as it is to be picking about such a small feature, the way the side panel/toe box narrows so much going up to the laces...wont ever look right. The main reason I'm waiting for the KSL is that it looks like the closest shoe compared to Reynolds G6 which I can’t buy anymore… I don’t really even like the green and white lines on the side, but nothing of that will matter as long as it feels something like my Reynolds.

The Spanky and Figgy has been too thin and slim for me. Skating vert, bowl and street the Reynolds was the shoe that could do it all and never hurt my foot in them. Also worked and walked in them a lot, so I really have high expectations on the KSL.

I think they're referring to the upper construction not the sole.  The other person likely knows it's the same sole, that's why they're hoping it's close to the Reynolds G6 upper-wise .

The Spanky upper is too thin for me to skate comfortably, so I relate to their concerns as I work through my Reynolds G6 stack

Yes, sorry, I am referring to the upper construction of the Spanky G6 which is too much of a "Janoski" for me. 

The KSL looks to hit the sweet spot, not too slim/thin neither to bulky/massive.

i know I'm a broken record at this point but that shoe look so damn good and is an absolute instant buy! I read a few pages back that it's dropping in Oct if the ports aren't too backed up. @EmericaTM might be able to shed more light on release window soon?

We have accomplished a lot (of bullshit) on slap, but I think it’s almost as urgent as climate change that they keep the gamma G6 in the line with vegan colorways. Not some canvas, but that good vegan leather. Who is co-signing this? Emericatm we all agree that the pour in G6 cup is the best sole in skating, and we all wear the spanks and are mildly excited about the Ksl G6, bit the gamma G6 is what we really want in the line.

Gamma G6 according to Emerica TM was November if shipments arrive roughly on time, last I saw. EU/UK region might get them slightly earlier than US if I'm not mistaken. Everywhere else, I don't recall if Tim specified, but I'll let him field that once he pops in

I cosign the idea to keep the Gamma G6 as a regular in the line (hoping launch sales do well *fingers crossed*) AND back the idea to alternate regular vegan synthetic colorways for it alongside the non veg ones.

I also cosign the KSL G6 to have at least one colorway each season drop after the first one, if people are stoked on it. I know I am, because like @cool_hand I am hoping it's a solid Reynolds G6 substitute. As I've stated ad nauseum already! Lmao

the ksl is pretty clearly a Reynolds replacement.

for those wanting a vegan g6 gamma id say good luck cause Tim has said before that the g6 is one off for the gamma cause of the cost of manufacturing . unfortunate. so hopefully we get reviews up quick on here cause that's a one season shoe. hoping its good cause a good looking capsule you can actually buy is hard to find

Weird look for éS, but it makes sense financially because they don't have to open new molds for the sole or cutting dies for the uppers. This must mean most of their modern models are built on the same last? In order for them to swap parts between literally everything?

Also, whoever said the notion about not having to pay Penny royalties... that's probably part of the equation (less royalties per shoe sold for a colorway of a team shoe versus a pro model shoe). But I think their hesitance to open new molds to recreate one of his old pro models is really the barrier on that front.

Honestly, I kink of fuck with these, and I normally don’t like wearing dark shoes with light soles, and I also don’t really like any of the other shoes with that sole. As long as they have a midsole I will probably get them, and I think they do because of the double cup. Theee is just something about soletech shoes with a midsole. It dampens so much of the impact and feels so good on the feet.

Swift already has one of the best feeling cupsoles out there at the moment so it’s a weird choice to mash those two together…. Having said that I like the silo way better on this outsole than the overly tech one.

I would even go so far to say I’d preorder some just so they could gauge interest before dropping.
Emerica is about to do a whole lot more vegan suede options even in their next season which is getting me exited for where they are headed; I love that eS and etnies always offer options but emerica’s simple
cupsoles (with hidden tech) have always just looked better to me..
