I'm not really sold on this version of the manteca. Pretty skimpy looking.. Maybe I'll come around if they do some og color blocks.

Picked up a pair tonight at Kinectic. Definitely a solid cupsole. Fully padded collar and tongue as well, the tongue has straps too. Feels like a real good dunk imatation not how the Lakai Telford feels.

This is great to hear because I skated a shit load of Mantecas in the early 2000s. Especially about the tongue straps. That’s often overlooked necessity lately.

yeah i was huge into mantecas back then, definitely my favorite shoe for a spell. not really feeling the halloween colors but i dig the black with the hint of gumsole. i’d like to try a pair again, hopefully dc brings the manteca back with regularity like they did for the lynx og (but please no more psychotic colorways like that rubbery looking orange monstrosity)

I like the loafers, but I think they took like two years to come out since I heard about "New Herman shoe Company".

Meanwhile the other brands had enough time to make them, so I don't think that they're coming really late and there's no surprise effect, even if there was a loafers trend before.

Those big half cabs with his slim highwater dickies is gonna be a real goofy look. Maybe Berle's morphing into his next mold, ala Greco.

Sounds like the Berle one will have a black sole. It's listed as 'khaki/black,' and the black with white sole is listed as 'black/white.'

I'm going to have to really carefully plan my Half Cab purchases over the next few months. I love Half Cabs, but I can't buy every good pair that comes out. I kinda want the beef/broccoli ones that are out now, but then I also see that 'chive/white' listed in that catalog image or whatever. If that ends up being more of a forest green, I'll be drooling over those too. But I also like those burgundy ones, and the navy ones. If they're doing a full year of classic/simple Half Cab colours, that's going to be a real problem for me.

Definitely not the adidas shoe I would have chosen to reissue but definitely interesting. Only 80 bucks so can’t complain. I just don’t see most of the adidas team wearing these.
