Emerica needs a serious reboot. New shoe designer, new brand manager.

I think Leo's more of a regular fit guy. And I don't know if he's trying to bring anything back. Just being who he is ever since I can remember at least. That's much better than going with the "trend of the day" even if it's not exactly to my taste. I have big respect towards that. That shoe however is horrible. The Laced looks nice as does the Americana IMO, even though they're a bit "boring". But then again I'm not fond of Dunks or many other flashy shoes like that.

I met who I thought was a designer one time and he asked me my opinion of an Emerica shoe that was prebooking. Told him I wasn’t feeling it and I never saw them come out. I’m assuming they didn’t book well, or even book at all. The guy wasn’t wearing Emerica’s. I think he wasn’t even wearing a Sole Tech shoe? Can’t remember, but definitely wasn’t Emerica.

Maybe Sole Tech has on staff designer’s, but they design for all 3 shoe brands? If that’s the case, Sole Tech should definitely have designers designated for each brand. Emerica TM could probably answer that question though

I don’t think they’re struggling.  They’re not trying to be all things to all skaters and it seems like they serve the skaters who like that stuff well.

I've seen maybe 4 pairs not on sponsored risers in all of San Diego since I've been here. I never saw a single pair in the Bay. Maybe they do great in Middle Emerica, but even most local shops don't carry them.

The brand is conceptually stale. Same kinda basic, similar thin profile cups/vulcs that are hard to differentiate, a couple reissues, then 6 million slip on colorways and toss in a couple nasty collabs.

Keep the green tint, logo, all that stuff. Don't have to get overly tech just some differentiation in models and riders.

Idk, those Leos would be sick if they came with diamonds to go in the eyelets like the reynolds 3.  And I could draw on the silver ones with a black paint marker for kicks.  I'm currently skating the KSL joints in white and they're probably one of the best shoes I've skated in a while. So comfy and skate super well

They should just do more of the upgraded colorways for people like the Julian gamma. Leo, Dakota and John’s shoes are too similar to the team models they’re based off of.

Can confirm they are not comfycush and that most pros that ride for vans dont know the difference between pop cush and comfy cush
They are nearly identical to the regular Crockett hi's minus the deconstructed collar and tongue
