Have not skated the shoes just yet, but I tried on the Vickkas and the Japans at Atlas today. These are my initial thoughts of just walking around in the shoes:
The Vickkas are bit thinner but seemed liked it would be great for board feel. The rubber is super grippy and it seems almost good out of the box. The fit a bit snug, but not cramping to the foot and seems very pliable to my foot right away. They didn't have my size but even at half a size down I can tell I want this shoe for sure. The fit is TTS.
The Japan is more of a traditional cupsole feel, being thicker and a little more firm. However, this shoe is perfect for a person with a slightly wider foot. The toebox is a bit wider, but that is actually what I prefer more nowadays with my shoes. These shoes are just overall very comfortable and this is the shoe I decided on getting. This shoe is also TTS.
Vickka's seem to be the most popular shoe going right now, so for those who are waiting for the shops to put them online, might want to be quick when they do go up.
