Fair… the soles will wear out before the upper does. But if you’re doing a lot of tricks then the upper will wear out quicker.

But the tread is really deep, and lasts a long time. You have to be only pushing and transition to wear the soles out before the upper.

I guess I'll agree to disagree with folks on the soletech vulcs being bad at that time. I've only had one shoe that had a sole separate and it was the Jinx 2 I think. Every other vulc treated me well from soletech.

They were some of the better quality (materials and performance) skate shoes I PERSONALLY had growing up until I leaned into cupsoles. My experience is anecdotal but I never knew anyone had these issues with those shoes until I joined slap. People I skated with never or rarely had these issues back then.

I may get kooked for this, but I believe a handful vulcs of the late 2000s going into the early 10s were built and skated better than a chunk  of vulcs out right now. Hsu Mid, Square One, Theory, Jameson 2  (original, not what's out now), First Blood (Bobby W), Maverick (Nike 6.0), DVS Munition/Militia, Arto 2, and Sheckler 2 were all shoes that didn't give me the "bad vulc experience" of the late 2000s that's being referenced.

Vulcs have come along way in quality, though. Vans latest releases seem to actually be hitting that mark for a lot of people. LRAB is working on it, so good for them. Blazer Mids have been constant, thankfully

Hate to add to the Soletech discussion but someone please show me a warn out pair of Michelin soles. I skated the shit out of a pair and still use them as my mowing shoes... They're at least 5-6 years old, thrashed all to hell but that sole isn't going anywhere. Please don't act like these are shitty-ass Lakai soles or converse that last for 2-3 weeks at best.

When they had the Michelin cup sole slip ons. They was tanks. Wish they still made them. Emerica pour in cup is more comfy but the Michelin slip cups was no joke.

Also I’m skating Nike Brsb right now and the foxing tape is just started to seperate yesterday on my instep of the shoe. Not trying to suck sole techs dick but vans and now Nike are the only shoes where I had the foxing tape just start separating. Not saying this doesn’t happen with sole tech just it’s never happened to me or not yet atleast.

those outsoles are pretty solid. I guess you could compare them to a NB# Tiago 808 in the sense that its one of those shoes that you need at least a few days to break in (like how cupsoles used to be) but after you get through that break in period, they feel great and last a long time.

I left Northern California a year after LAFC started and my uncle took me to the games so they've become my team. Can't bandwagon when you're there from the start.

As for Inter, I liked the colors and got a good feeling about the team from the start. Even with the terrible record.
Then the CR7 rumors started. Then they got Messi and I've been a fan since he was starting with Barcelona.

I fuck with them hard, even if I ended using my pair for football/soccer. Maybe they felt off because of the shape, they are shaped like a wide arrow at the toes, or was it the sole? They are one of the only shoes where I immediately felt like I didn't need any insoles, I have flat feet and they have a nice arch, perhaps they have too much arch for your feet.
