Defs not getting as much hate as blondey’s new shoe…
[close]

What’s to hate?    I like this collab between Adidas/MLS/local shop.    The No comply jersey was almost great, but this is an amazing jersey flat out.    Curious what other cities are next
[close]
I just meant that Adidas were copping a tonne of hate when they posted blondey's shoe and then they came through with this gem
[close]

How many more MLS/shop collabs are coming out? Kinda wierd (but also kinda not) how the shoe companies are trying to link soccer to skating. Around the Olympics it was like they realised they have skateboarders as athletes now but didn't know what to do with them so sometimes just lumped them in with the soccer team.

Is MIA still going? Feel like the Messi/Miami popularity would be worth doing something with. (Altho they would of had to plan this out some time ago)
[/quote

The weird/cool thing is linking MLS teams with local shops, at least Adidas has always tied the skate program with soccer. For some reason I still have a Raul Navarro/western edition Spain shirt.

I can totally see a pink/black tyshawn low but I think MIA is done
[close]

Need me an LAFC collab.
Inter Miami would sell out in seconds.
[close]

I can’t really think of a definitive LA shop that would work.  (Plus if you’re from LA long enough, you should probably do Galaxy) / plus it’s cool to see smaller teams get some shine.

Familia and Minnesota FC
A few options for Philly Union
Atlas and SJ Earthquakes?? (Maybe not close enough)
Sporting Kansas City and Escapist
[close]
Uprise with Chicago Fire?? (Best kit in the MLS)

Maybe they could do something with Nora's shoe and a female team.

Oh duh yeah.  That would probably make sense as the next one

Don’t know who’s in DC now that Pitcrew is gone.

Yeah Angel City FC would fit since they’re the only one I know, but they’re a Nike team and it looks like the NWSL is all Nike the way MLS is 100% adidas.

Anyone know when the Andrew Allen shoes release?

I’m getting the Orchard x Adidas pack. How do the Sambas fit compared to NB #440?

I dug the skate “copa” event. I appreciate a small demo & contest weekend. Had some adidas skateboarding jerseys

I'm very curious to hear anyone's experience with the Samba ADV fit. I'm a 12.5 in almost all other adidas (including the general release sambas), so I'm likely going to need to either go down to 12 or up to a 13 in these, since the SB/ADV line rarely produces 12.5s

Also, I’ve been in LA 90% of my life. But I started getting into soccer at the start of the team. Which annoys a lot of older Salvadoran people based off the fact that one of the bigger player in our history played for them.

personally I like the blondey pro models, the DC Needles collab, but I dislike that Samba a lot. it looks like every single other samba on the market, and MLS is wack to me (mostly just resentment that Detroit never got a team).

I don't see a reason to get these while NB has their flagship models widely available, but I'll withhold further judgement till they drop

Yeah, it’s the same logic as fakie lipslides or fakie tailslides. I just call it a frontside half cab to front blunt because I’m 99% sure that’s what Heath called it when he mentioned doing it in an old Epicly Later’d episode on his early career. I think it was one episode on in the Emerica Wild in the Streets series.

I skated a pair of the Gillete Dover and I really liked it. Held up much better than I expected and the insole is really comfy and takes impact. I would totally skate them again if they were cheaper.

Yeah the main thing holding me back is the $145 CAD for these right now

Alright I pulled the trigger, the leather feels soft and flexible, the only other pair of smooth leather shoes I’ve skated were super stiff

Has anyone skated a pair of globes since Gillette has been involved ? I’m tempted by the new Sammy colour way on the surplus
[close]
I skated a pair of the Gillete Dover and I really liked it. Held up much better than I expected and the insole is really comfy and takes impact. I would totally skate them again if they were cheaper.
[close]
Yeah the main thing holding me back is the $145 CAD for these right now

Alright I pulled the trigger, the leather feels soft and flexible, the only other pair of smooth leather shoes I’ve skated were super stiff

It's cool you can wear the Markovich faces but not have to give that guy money.

I had the discussion with my friend and I think Val Surf or Kingswell. It would just kinda become a “what’s a big store near the shop” type of thing.

Also, I’ve been in LA 90% of my life. But I started getting into soccer at the start of the team. Which annoys a lot of older Salvadoran people based off the fact that one of the bigger player in our history played for them.
[close]

Yeah name-wise Brooklyn Projects would be a weird choice to represent LA.   LAFC would make more sense for Kingswell, based of demographics of customers and fan base.

I’m more of Galaxy man bc of Gerrard and being white in an age when Chivas was the other LA team, but I’d wear LAFC stuff.   I don’t have any real emotions tied into it like i do with crosstown basketball and my loathing for the clippers
[close]

What about Dodgers and Angels?
I’m all for the Dodgers and Mookie is my favorite but Shoeih is something else.

I love Shohei too.  Regardless of team

Pirates were my little league team, so I grew up a Bonds fan who hated the Braves, followed him over to Giants bc it was easier to get Giants gear in CA in the pre-internet days.   As OC/CA local, I had a passing like of California Angels bc Bo Jackson was there for the one year I would have cared, but hated them bc of 2002 World Series.   I know Dodgers are the actual rivals of the Giants, but I’m not some old New Yorker and that rivalry does nothing for me.   I’ll wear an LA hat just because I don’t really get into baseball that much and I feel like after you’ve been in a city for at least a decade, you can wear the baseball hat as just an emblem of the city and not necessarily the sports team.
