I remember around 2010 when every skate shoe had that toe box, no seams and shaped like a baked potato.
Practical but kind of ugly.

Fuck off already Berra! No one wanted cariuma. No one cares about dvs anymore. Good luck with the cariuma team coming to dvs. Might have to be a Berrics park exclusive ….. and with all the names no Dennis?? Good luck man. Maybe you should “skate more”

I’m sorry I’m not like this I hate to hate but god damn I’m over the Berra Berrics corny ass shit. It’s on the level of braille almost now. I missed the days of agenda but understand ya gotta support yourself but god damn. What’s next ??
[close]

I'll tell you what's next. Berra marries into the Van Doren family somehow and it's like my seeds, marry his seeds, marry his seeds, that's how we keep skate shoe money all up in the family. BEEN A LONG TIIIIIME

I like it, but shift it to Don Brown and we’ll finally get éScientology

Cool that they stitched on the cup unlike the Sal reissues.
flat spotted 3 times in 2 weeks, other than that awesome wheels

Is it really serious?

If it's not a joke, I wonder when we say to ourselves that we can relaunch a brand that has sunk elsewhere than in glory and especially if we don't bring together: design, aesthetics, technology, quality and comfort. And frankly on his leaflets we see everything except that.

Maybe I'm wrong and that the forty-year-olds will rob the skateshops that will have had the nerve to put this in store.

then everything went to that generic vulc looking shoe. i think on the nineclub kelly hart even says that all the soletech stuff looked the same.

From an economical point of view, I don't understand why they invested into four different outsole molds. That shit is expensive and DVS is not going to be a success. Unless they are using old molds they should start with two different cupsole molds max.

Because they saw people complain when eS and Emerica reuse soles.

Worst thing about all those post tech 00s skate shoes were the stupid stripes and wavy lines on the sides. Full discount shoe barn/auntie shit.

@Watson do you know if the sal23 is coming out in any more colors for spring, or if it will still be produced at all beyond this 30th year anniversary drop?
Any info will help me gauge if I need to stock up on a few pairs or if I can hold out for a white suede and black sole version

Spring 25: Black and brown carryover. Proper white w/ black sole. Black w/ gum sole. Yellow w/ white sole for some reason I don't know hahaha.

Summer 25: White w/ baby blue sole.

Haven't seen Fall 25 yet.

+1 thanks for that. Will hold out for the white with black sole. Used to love the baby blue colorways but not going to go there this time around.

Okay so. I loved this shoe back in the day. I loved it so much, I kept one pair for the future. That was over 10 years ago and today is the future. I am at my parents place and going through my old stuff. Guess what I found, the Reynolds 3 in grey. Never worn, stuffed away in a box. I put them on. Man, are they uncomfortable when you are 33 years old. I wait another 10 years and put them up on eBay for 500 bucks.

New DVS’s look pretty good. I’m pleasently surprised given what is currently on the DVS store. They really stepped their game up. Some of the color ways are iffy but the designs are solid. Milan’s are simple but not too basic. The sureshocks take the gross current DVS dna and streamline and modernize it. My favorite out of the bunch

So often I feel like my experience doesn't match everyone else's. The Reynolds 3 was probably one of my least favourite shoes of all time. Huge potato tongue, sole went bald in one weekend, stumpy toe, weird butt stitching on toe cut the shit out of the top of my foot, sole completely seperated off the heel.

Altho I guess they lasted longer than all the other emerica vulcs..

Nostalgia is like that. I remember learning kickflips in Kostons and wore through the "suede" and rubber toe bumper in a single session. Granted it was a Jolly Joe's fueled 10hr skatepark sesh, but the entire shoe was smoked out in 2 weeks and my Mom was so pissed that the next pair of shoes I got were some random Etnies.

Reynolds 2 was goated though.  I think I did all of my best skating in that shoe back in the day.
