Those Jordan Sessions also feel weird on foot in store. The inner vamp feels soft and not scratchy, but almost too much. The sole felt like it has the concept of a cupsole with boardfeel, but kinda misses the mark. Maybe that's kinda standard for Jordan 2 and beyond models since they're basketball shoes first. They don't feel anything like AJ1s i wore/skated, they felt closer to the 2, 3, and 4s I've tried on.
