Yeah, that shoe is gross and looks like shit that goes on clearance at department stores like Kohls. It's the shit that old, math professors wear. Even the LRAB VM005 is barely passable. Aside from the Gravis Dylan, all skateable loafers look cheap.

You're probably going to take a date to a formal event, and can't bring a skateboard into most venues that aren't affiliated with skateboarders. I don't understand who would buy these, except maybe 8th-12th graders that play in band or orchestra.

The Dylan’s ground breaking for the time but looked good on Dylan and nobody else. I saw the trend. My homies had them. Never looked good, even in Their skinniest of jeans and whitest of v necks. On its own it was pretty ugly shoe, elevated by Dylan. He could have you believe the Osiris Ali was sick

As much as I hate saying it, as I loved Dylan and his shoes... each of his models were an almost exact rip off of a fashion brand shoe from around the same time.  His most famous Gravis model was almost identical to a Frye shoe.  His Huf shoe was also identical to a different fashion brand shoe.  As were Austyn's shoes.

I think I was buggin a little, actually, and I take it back. The Dylan wasn't an ugly shoe on its own. Everyone, especially us normies, could not pull them off. So we had the streets flooded with a cool trendy shoe paired with bad fits. It just lowered the appeal of the shoe.

People started using hair product and tucking in their tees while skating those shoes, but it looked goofy on everyone except for Dylan. I had a a pair, sold them after one session, and went back to skating CONS after I got shit on by the homies.

People got shit on because either the shoes didn’t match the clothes they wore or they changed their kits overnight to try and pull it off.

I never saw anyone in person or on footage that could pull it off, aside from Dylan, so I’m not sure if the shoe actually looks good, or if Dylan made them look good. The shoe would definitely be axed after a season or two if it was released now. It would look even worse on people wearing Dickies or baggy jeans.

If you want loafers or a hiking shoe, just buy one, instead of buying the bastardized version that’s skateable. It might cost a bit more, but it looks better and will last a lot longer since you don’t skate them.

Anyways… does anyone have pics of new shoes or colorways?
