Been listening to this song a bunch since can relate. I got a lot of stress in my life at the moment. I read into lyrics a lot and since I stopped taking my medicine for my depression/anxiety my mood swings really matches the different persona's Cudi uses in this song.

As for music I've been listening to without meaning that's just got a nice beat and flow, it's been this song

This was my jam during the darkest period of my life. Still makes me cry a little bit:

kendrick album is flames but its definitely one of those albums that'll take a bit to sink in. shit is deep & complex as hell.  definitely got more a west coast groove than GKMC though Im really liking the production after listening to most of it . "Alright" is my shit tho. tupac interview on the last track is cool too. I always thought kendrick was cool, never one of my top favorites or whatever but dude definitely went in his bag on this one. like i said its gonna take more than a day to really comprehend this shit & let the album sink in , but I think it'll do good numbers & be well-received overall

^^^^I agree. It will take some time to process his album just cause he went a totally different direction on this. The good thing is I think he has enough loyal fans to want to listen to his new sounds where as if someone else did it, they'd totally reject to this whole idea.

I think this album would do well live though with full band and back up singers.

To Pimp a Butterfly compared to Good Kid Maad City is like Aquemini in comparisons to ATLiens. Much weirder, funkier, less street, but better composed and thought provoking.

exactly what i was thinking! you beat me to it.  definitely channeling andre3000

i could see this being everyones song (i like it too) only because the beat is more conventional with everyones rap tastes.  General public like turn up feel good shit not too much thinking conscious rap.  Not a dig at you btw.  He got some thinkers in here.  Ill listen after a LA skate session in traffic.

This album i feel is a realization of his importance and reponsibilites yet still showing hes human with flaws and all.  Just my thought.  The album cover is amazing! whoever did the art on that needs a grammy on that alone.
