skated with a couple of friends who havnt skated in 5 years, was cool to see them getting so stoked over the smallest things

tried a new trick (fakie full cab bigspin over a hip) and when i finally landed it everyone at the park was shouting and shit, made the land feel even better, also landed one bs 360 big spin on flat - felt super cool, was my first regular 360 trick

as always, sessioning dork tricks at the end of the session, like fakie pivots on a dirt quater, 360 pivot shuv out on flatbanks etc, dork ticks are just so much fun for me

Slammed during a session & tweaked my elbow wrong - the elbow that still hasn't really recovered all the way from being dislocated a few months ago.

Had a few moments of blinding pain, but then got up & forced myself to skate through the shakes & the nausea. 20 minutes & a game of SKATE later I was feeling pretty decent. As I get older, it's more tempting to just go curl up in a ball in the corner when I get hurt, but it's always better to push through & not let it end the day.

Rolled my ankle pretty bad about three weeks ago. Today was my first time rolling on a board since then. It was only a few blocks to the corner store and back, on the cruiser board. But I'll tell ya. It feels fucking good.

Car ride home really late at night, like 2 or 3 AM, and seeing skaters in a random parking lot or at a spot still out there skating and killing it even though its super late. Always gets me stoked.

Not yesterday, but last week... did this about 30 times before I finally landed it.

...the sound of ham in a ziplock bag being dropped onto pavement followed by the sound of sandpaper rubbing on sandpaper for a sec, then getting up and repeating until the shit got done! I was stoked- used to think about hitting it when I was in college, then forgot about it and remembered it a few days ago.
