I have. My girl and I were together a year and a few months when she left to go teach English in Spain. She went for two consecutive years and we'll have been together for 6 years in April. It's tough but if you really want to you can make it work. The first year she was gone I went and visited her for 3 weeks. That was a great initial experience. The second year, I was going to try and go for the whole time, but that fell through. I managed to save up enough money to go for the last six months. Like I say, it just depends on how strong your relationship is and how committed you are to making it work.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

Wondering if I really should start working full time. 50+ hours a week. Then I decided yes 'cause I'm trying to move the fuck up out the hood. It's a struggle

whether or not I'm in the friend zone
I made it out of the friend zone and here's how you do it. Stop talking to her and then one day when she's really high and drunk be there when she has an emotional breakdown then be caring and nice. Be sensitive and listen to her, and then fuck her. But make sure you fuck her so good she screams. That's how I got out of the friendzone.

Or just tell her how you feel.

Any of you ever notice speed wobble "windows"? At a certain speed the wobbles come on, but then they pass as you go faster. Like when a plane breaks the sound barrier, they kinda lose control while they're going through the sound barrier, but then get complete control back once they break through it. Not like it would be at all the same physics at work, but you see the analogy.

I wonder if there's some whacky physics going on with the king pin at certain speeds under certain conditions.

And why, in the long run, do I not really care?

Existence and perception. Specifically, the concept that the world we create around us and the way in which we perceive things IS our world. That, and trying to understand the point of view of a mentally ill person and how their perception, although we refer to them as "ill" or "sick" is their world.

Maybe read some Descartes and then some Kant.. I think this shit has been debated since the beginning of philosophy. Really interesting subject.

I thought about some heavy shit for the past week or so.

What if we are supposed to die to reach another level of living or something like that. Suicide only helps you get there faster.

What if I somehow started dealing heavy drugs at a young age and also saved all the money that I have ever received, where would I be right now?

What if I truly couldn't die, like I just end up in a lot of pain at most.

What if I was the creator of this world and everything in it. I made the complex roadways and advances in technology by simulating it in this subconscious state. I put all the people on this earth in my own world and everything happens for a reason predetermined by me. Someone else could have their own world elsewhere, but it could be half-assed and only an island somewhere that they made.

Either dead or in jail. Just because you save, that doesn't change the results of that lifestyle.

Why do you expect that level to be any better than this one right here? What if there are levels that go harder and harder all the time, and if you live a good life compared to what circumstances you started, then you pass on to the next level. In the end there is a prize for the winner.

There's no point on using your time thinking about these things

That is another way to look at it.
I took some classes this year where we have a ton of free time since we don't really do anything in the classes so these thoughts pop up. Not like I am going to act on them or anything but I think of weird shit sometimes.
