Whenever I see news, stories or anything about Formula One, I wish I could like it. But I can't "get" racing, period, and the idea of seeing dudes hauling ass in their little cars for 70 laps is really tiresome. Let's not even get started on stock cars. That's my thought of the day.

Can't wrap my head around it either, but maybe there's not much else to do in some of the midwest states where it's most popular and getting hammered on Buds while hooting and hollering with your buds is the best source of entertainment, which actually sounds fun. I think, too, that Nascar is really high on TV ratings as well, which means more people are into than you think.

My dad watches the fuck out of all the NASCAR shit. He's up so early every day he just watches the live races that take place all over the world. He took me to some growing up and me being a kid i only wanted to see the crashes. i know plenty of people who side with whatever their favorite party sides with and never give it any more thought than that. i dont understand it either, but id guess that picking your political stance is a lot like picking your favorite sports team to a lot of people. gotta support the team even if their gameplan is fucked.

Man, the snapchat animal filters... why do women think these are cute? They look extremely corny and wack.  

Theory: They want to take and post selfies to get attention for their looks, but don't want to feel vain about it all the time, so using an animal filter allows them enough abstraction to feel they are doing something other than what they are doing. Just posting a picture of themselves for attention. Since there is nothing inherently wrong with wanting attention for your looks it may show kind of inner conflict whereby they feel ashamed(on some level, even sub-consciously) of their own desire for attention? Shits complicated I think lol

My sister is super into F1 racing and I asked her about it because I feel the same way as you.
She said the cars have crazy limits to fuel and tire usage etc meaning the drivers are seriously hauling ass with the possible risk of burning their engines out or blowing a tyre.

That said I think they're pushing for more environmentally friendly cars now.
