dope, thanks for the quick reply. I watch that video so much I get lost in the details easily, and the last couple of times I did I just couldn't unsee that guy anymore as he is in every shot, looking way into the moment, and I had no idea who it could have been because I'm a particularly clueless Euro.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurious

funny thing is a lot of the projects he's associated with are classics but I had no idea about the connection. rad. thanks again

What the fuck happened to that lk130 dude (had Arthur for an avatar). He used to post inane oddities daily, and fuck worlds with his stationary flatground tricks. Last time he posted he was hanging with Daan.

Wonder what he's doing right now.

Any skaters use themselves preforming a trick for an actual board graphic? Only one I can think of is Chief's smith grind. Why is that? Is it gauche, tacky, uninspired. Wonder if he got shit for it.

Not knocking Chief, I think that board is pretty iconic. I'm just wondering why its not done more often.

That's a great question, didn't even think of that before. Actually reminds me of what Jon Allie said once, where he didn't want to ride anything with his name on it. It's widely considered tacky for a pro to ride his or her own pro model, so creating a board with you skating on it is probably a huge breach of tact. Yeah, maybe that's contributed to criticisms toward him.

Am I remembering correctly or was there a Blabac photo of Kalis at LOVE used for a graphic at some point? Could be wrong but I feel like I'd seen it before. If so, that in itself wouldn't be tacky either considering anything shot of Kalis at LOVE was gold.

Tacky is getting a silhouette of yourself kickflip backlipping a handrail dead center on your forearm.

Speaking in numbers. There is what? 7 billion people in the world? Studies are shown that 1 out of 4 people are gay. 25 percent of 7 billion is 1.75 billion. I'm sure if you had alcohol in the mix, two people of the opposite sex of that 1.75 billion fucked.

My hollywood conspiracy theory website says that Will/Jada Pinkett Smith are both closeted and their marriage has always been a sham. So yes (unless you believe that other hollywood conspiracy theory website that claims that Jaden and Willow Smith were conceived using surrogates in vitro and then Jada had the surrogates killed)

Who out of the bones brigade will be the first to not be able to skate anymore?
It honestly blows my mind that all of them (well bar maybe McGill) are still skating to this day, I've skated for basically 30+ years and there hasn't been a time when Cab, Lance, Hawk, Tommy (and Rodney) haven't skated/ haven't had a pro board out. Literally Skate or Die! Will there be another generation of skaters that have that longevity?

Impish sausage is definitely gonna blow up as a euphemism this year

i read this book called 'slackjaw'. the author had macular degeneration and was slowly going blind. it was a funny memoir, dude was into some silly shit like starting the 'nihilist worker party' and getting investigated by the feds and next chapter he's attempting suicide. like between all the suicide attempts was a lighthearted romp.
so anyways, slackjaw was loosing his sight, loosing his mind like papa roach.
everything didn't just go black, it dims slowly. legally blind doesn't mean much other than you can't drive. [pimp squad for life]
kid is prolly really blind but can see shapes or differentiate dark from light.

This week I was early for a meeting and the neighborhood I was in had a Barnes and Noble.  I went in to get out of the cold and browse some magazines.  I hadn't been in one in awhile and I was amazed at how many magazines they had and on such random/specific subjects.  Like ten on guns, ten on sailing, etc.  I know people don't buy mags like they used to, so what happens to all those unsold mags?

As long as companies buy the ad space they'll keep printing them and burning the ones nobody reads (all of them)
