I was wondering about a few potential infiltrators currently as well. Remember when Shetler was posting about his podcast and got, inevitably, scoffed off of here. Before that point, they had all of his threads collapsed into one main thread.
Now fast forward to now, there are 3 Nine Club threads running on the first page of Photos/Video alone. I'm not bummed about it, I like what La Croixb has been churning out. Yet, I'm wondering if the possible offing of Shetler was done by Nine Club shills behind the scenes here, as SLAP is heavily monitored by the industry. We want answers mods!

Has rap turned into a genre that is more about the music than it is about lyrics?

I mostly just listen to the music for most of the rock stuff I listen to and I don't even know the words to some of my favorite songs that I've heard hundreds of times. But when I was into rap, it was impossible not to listen to the lyrics and I feel like rap has always been a lyrics forward genre. And I liked dude's who were thought of as trash lyricists (Mike Jones, Jeezy, Gucci) but I don't know how there is so much garbage out there that people are getting away with. I'm sure there are still plenty of great rappers out right now, like there are tons of great rock bands, but all the new rap shit I hear makes me feel like the rapper should be embarrassed of how stupid they sound and kids playing it can't be giving a fuck what these guys are even saying.

Probably belongs in the old man rant thread.
