Did you guys get that gillette 5 blader in the mail as a "birthday present" when you were growing up? I did and fell into buying those expensive ass blades for years. All my friends got them too and many did the same thing.

Didn't get any razors. Definitely got AOL on cd many times.

People who smoke weed pretty much daily and say that theyre "so high" when they smoke weed.  I dont get that. I smoke weed daily and weed dosent get me "high" just makes me want to skate or go cycling.

i know what you mean, not to sound like that guy but i only get like "so high" after smoking like hash or oil or doing a dab which i almost never do because that shit gets me couch stuck and is too expensive. i keep saying ill stop for a while and lower that tolerance.

anyways did anyone see that new gillette commercial? i agree with the message but why the fuck is a razor company trying to preach that message, or any message for that matter?

I dont get why the one dude stopped the other dude from approaching the girl.   Why isnt it "cool" to do that?   Is nobody supposed to be an ass n titty lover anymore? - serious question.  I know theres girls out there 'objectifying' men and good on them.  You cant try to control people thoughts.

There was an interview with TK, when he was a plumber. He got asked if he gets recognized on the job and his response was "No. Plumbin in disguise." Everyone on SLAP thought he said "put him in the sky"

I can't understand how so many people missed the point. Whatever way you look at it though, I think they knew it would ruffle feathers and go viral, thus putting their brand in front of everyones face. Kinda the same idea as Nike's commercial with Kaepernick a while back. Regardless of the message, it's still advertising for their razors.
[close]

i guess there are more dudes out there being misogynistic than i thought, and it does irk me when i hear/see that stuff irl and once have gotten into it with a friend spouting off some dumb shit that could be described as "toxic masculinity".

idk its weird, i dont discriminate anyone based on sex or race or whatever so when i see reminders to not do it its like yo im already not doing it so chill. but i may be in the minority.

and in all honesty ive been a bic razor guy since highschool, nice and cheap. shalom.

thanks for bringing this one up seymour.

what i don't get is that Gillette is a brand that's been making money off objectifying men for decades and painting this picture of what a man supposed to look like. which is a fucked up thing to do in itself because it creates an unreal expectation for both men and women. so i would go so far to argue that brands like this are partly responsible for perpetuating these ideas of masculinity that people are so triggered about.  now all of a sudden they've gone righteous like they have some kind of moral authority. almost like they're saying... we think we've been marketing our products to misogynists... and we're sorry.

anyways i agree with the message but it's just platitudes (men should treat women with respect...duh!). the delivery was terrible and Gillette has no place in my opinion

Let me preface this post with the fact that I am slightly inebriated, very uneducated and I havent read any papers or done any research at all, or read your post really.

Click bait is perverting journalism. Our news feeds need to prioritize veracity in their algorithms over popularity of an article. None of the main news sources take enough time to verify information, because that's lost clicks and there seems to be no consequences for publishing fabricated stories.

self-improvement. progression. the "bucket list." lifelong learning. materialism has been replaced by collecting experiences in a lot of first world countries. people seem to think that they are infinitely working toward something, so they read a lot, travel the world, meet lots of people and experience as many things as possible. what is the end goal of all this? when you reach a certain age, will you transform into a magical being because of all these things and achieve immortality or become the most interesting man or woman in the world or something like that? constantly learning and experiencing new things are definitely good but doing this stuff will most likely not bring about the results a lot of people imagine. you're still going to get old and die and most likely you won't become a wizard or sorceress or the guy from the dos equis commercials or experience nirvana. this is definitely not meant to be negative or discourage people or sound too preachy - I just wonder if people are aware of this. I'm also curious what they are trying to accomplish exactly. these questions also apply to me because I do this stuff too.

I tried them but they felt really dull like they weren’t even cutting anything.  Went back to my normal two-blade cheapo razors.

you just made me ponder all types of things. a lot of times when im out traveling and experience something alone i right away wish i had someone to share it with. later i ask myself why? do we really need others to validate our thoughts and experiences?

Personally, I think the goal of doing the things you mentioned, and pretty much anything I do in my spare time is just to have fun. I know I'm going to die and pretty much everything I do and experience doesn't matter, but that doesn't  mean that my enjoyment of those moments isn't enough to justify seeking them out. You can either do nothing in your spare time, or do something that you enjoy, so why not do the latter?

And Nopes, I'm pretty sure it's ingrained into our species to seek out companionship. It's how we survive. You don't need validation of your experiences from anyone, but it's perfectly natural to wish you had a buddy along to share the fun.

In the end, sure, nothing matters. What I don't understand is why people have such a hard time embracing this. It's kinda freeing.

'Life is about the dance' maybe?  'Progression' is relative.   The reason i think its become a thing is just because of fb one-up-manship and cocaine or e pill come down induced spiritualism people in the 20 to 40 age bracket go thru.

You think anyone has laid on the ground and let someone drive a golf ball off a tee that was inserted into their erect penis?

I knew a girl who broke up with a guy because they were going to get down to it, and he was like "no no no hold on don't touch me" and it turned out he had the clip from a pen cap in his pee hole. She was like "what's your deal" and he had to confess and she was like "l8r". He just loved jamming shit in there and couldn't leave the house without having something in there. Put a pen cap clip in his dick before a date, that's how much he liked it. He'd probably be down to try the golf tee if his dick isn't 100% scar tissue yet.

There was a vid around the dawn of horrific internet vids  2 girls 1 cup mr hands etc of a girl inserting a small vibrator into a mans eurethra. It was tapered though and got thicker towards the top and she kept slowly inserting it deeper until finally his dick split down the sides and peeled down around the vibrator like a banana. Anyways happy MLK day, friends.

Again i mean more Riely.  He dosent wear a ton of black.  Hes faded blue and beiges and browns.  It seems like hes onto to some other shit as well as the sabbath given.  Randy Rhodes> Black Sabbath for me as a side note
