I'm done buying stuff because it "was a good deal"
I realize that I'm think I'm incredibly deal savvy, but in the long run I waste more more (and time) hunting for some deals, as opposed to just biting the bullet for what I want or need right away. A (maybe relatable) example of this buying decks on sale. I see an 8.5 for a cheap price and buy it without thinking, so I can stash it away til I need it. But in reality it's some terrible shape/size/quality that immediately sucks some of the joy out of the experience of setting up a fresh deck. That's not to say I'm going to throw money around without thinking about it, but I'm better off buying the deck I actually want, as opposed to having 3 decks I kinda like stashed away in case I somehow break 3 decks in one session. This certainly applies outside of skating too. quality not quantity, I guess
