Binged The Witcher in like two and a half days, now rewatching it with m'lady. Hadn’t heard of the books or games until Witcher III came out—been a huge fan since. Show might throw you for a loop if you don’t have any context, but (to me) that just ups the rewatch value—you’ll get a lot more out of it the second time around. If you’re an action movie/show fan, the fight scenes are insanely well choreographed.
Lil' Wayne is more core than Jaden Smith.
Damn. Chico of Chocolate now Pyramids of Giza. What the hell is going on?

Netflix has been blowing it on adding good movies every month, but January 2020 has some good ones. I used to love Tremors as a kid and just watched it last night. Here's the list of what's released this month:

Don't Fuck With Cats was really interesting but completely fucked documentary.  Very tough to watch some of the  footage & not easily forgotten.  Not for the squeamish, I suggest watching the trailer beforehand & it'll clue you in as to what it's all about.
Couldn’t make it 5 minutes into it listening to that lady. I shuddered at the dumb shit she said.

It's pretty good so far, I'm almost at the end of season 2. I can see why it was talked about for so many years. I'm always late to start watching shows, like I just watched Dexter for the first time this year too lol.

The best part is it keeps getting better. Season 3 and 4 were my favorites.

Shoulda got better quicker because the early seasons were kinda cheesy and lost my interest. I wouldn’t say a gave it a fair shot though I was high af on painkillers recovery from ACL surgery the whole time I was watching. Maybe I should finish it.

Has The Two Popes been mentioned yet? Thought it was excellent. The acting, dialogue and imagery are really great. I doubt the real events were this civil (Ratzinger and Bergoglio weren't very amicable I believe), and overall it definitely seems like the best kind of PR the church could hope for at this point. So that could be a turn-off, but otherwise I'd recommend it. A new season of The Young Pope is also about to come out, by the way.

You guys had never heard of Luke Magnotta before? There are definitely better documentaries on the story if we're talking about presenting facts vs trying to create entertainment. The documentary is called "Don't Fuck with Cats" so straight from the beginning it's a clickbait title.

The thing that bothered me about that documentary was how it was so contradictory. The editing and all the facebook sounds were shit. And, fuck, that one shot where they show dude's mom in the background with an obviously doctored facebook page up on a computer in the foreground? It's bringing this guy back into the limelight for entertainment purposes and glorifying facebook vigilantes. At the end, when "Baidi Moovin" looks into the camera with that close statement... come on.

I know it’s on Hulu, but there no Hulu thread. Just started Letterkenny and been really enjoying.

Watch Dracula. I just finished the second episode and it's a very interesting take on the mythos.

It's too bad the 3rd episode completely blows & ruined it.

Are there boobs? Because a Dracula show with no boobs=I'm out.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

I suppose I was being a bit harsh, if I saw it only as a standalone I would've said it was decent.... it's just that the first two reminded me of the old Hammer Dracula films, gothic & claustrophobic & I really enjoyed them, the third episode was such a departure I was disappointed.

If the Orcs from Lord of the Rings killed an Ent, and they made veneers out of it and made them into boards...would y’all rode the boards if it was your shape with a cool graphic?

The Mind of Aaron Hernandez.

I threw it on while cleaning my house. I’m not a sports fan, but I’m interested in crime and gritty shit, so I assumed it would hold my interest. There was so much more to that story than I expected. I watched the whole thing that day. Really, really interesting stuff.
