I really liked Wild, Wild Country.

I also just binge watched Bad Blood, a mini-series about organized crime in Montreal. Although I found a few aspects campy and I did not care for the music, I really enjoyed it. 4.2/5 poutines.

that one still keeps me up at night

i just started wild wild country.. pretty interesting so far

What stuck out to me is how great of a job the kids did acting. But also, it seems crazy to be that young and acting about such heavy material. Even if it's just acting, there's some pretty gnarly scenes involving the kids.

The filmed this movie around my friends house in Canada. It's a pretty spooky old mill settlement that burned down way back

I just found out about Kanopy, it’s free, and it links to your library card (if your library participates). Lots of stuff.  Has all of the A24 movies on there.
You're the man I wish I could either gnar you or send you money.

Ended up binging bad blood as well... granted I’m a dork for anything mafia related.... throughly enjoyed it albiet a few cheesy moments. And that weird like choppy editing...other than that it was great.

I'm a big fan of slow burner thrillers. This definitely takes its time building, but I love movies set in desolate areas such as the Australian outback.

NARCOS Season 1 to 4

The last season was pretty good. The only problem with Narcos is that it makes me want to do a shit ton of cocaine.

I was going to watch this, then I found out it is a sequel, so I need to see the first one before I watch it.

If you haven’t watched it yet, ‘No Reservations’ is a great show of his too. He had such a unique personality and sense of humor. He will be missed

Not new but, I started watching The Horn again while I'm on the treadmill at the gym. Real good. A solid representation of rescue work.

Boardwalk Empire would have some really good plot lines and characters (Richard Harrow was my favorite, Michael Shannon was amazing on it too), but overall was never as good as I hoped it would be. Everything always did look super cool though.

The Christmas that Almost Wasn't

I think this is my favorite episode of the MST comeback. It's super funny, I've been watching it every year since it came out.

Although I own several of these, there's some solid movies coming on January 1st. I'm especially stoked for all the Indiana Jones flicks to be available despite the most recent one being absolute trash.

I think Prime has all of them. I was just recently watching the Timothy Dalton 80s-action-movie ones.

Bird Box was pretty legit but I feel like the ending could have been better. Not that it was bad, it just sort of fell flat from the suspense.

I'm excited to watch Bandersnatch, probably tonight, but I enjoyed the first season of Black Mirror more than the latter.

I've been on a major anime binge lately and can say I love how much retro anime they have ...Netflix just released the new Baki series and its bad so ive been looking for the original anime series

I just saw Hold The Dark by the guy who made Blue Ruin and Green Room.

I guess it was well made and had some arresting sequences but there were major plot points I didn't get until reading an IMDb review from someone who had read the book. Not the greatest.

Even though I really liked Blue Ruin and Green Room, Hold the Dark just didn't entice me at all. Hard pass from the trailer/reviews.

Also, Bandersnatch was a let down.

Bird Box sucked.

hated it.  wannabe edgy black mirror shit for normies.  bad acting and stupid concept.

speaking of Black Mirror, i loved bandersnatch.  If you didn't like it, watch it again and again until you get a story line that you do

I was gonna ask if anybody had watched Bandersnatch yet actually, but didn't cause Black Mirror gets a good amount of hate on here.

Just based off reviews and stuff I've read, it seems like they tried to do too much with the new special, and didn't really pull it all off. But I'm definitely gonna watch it at some point anyway though, I still like most episodes of the show.
