My kid is Aurora Dunning

You mean Elara Danan?

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

dope thief is doing some weird but interesting things with their characters. i have mixed feelings but i am still watching. are all the holes in the plot intentional? so many questions.

All the hour long shows on Apple+ I like enough to keep watching, but not enough to recommend.   The Jon Hamm show could turn into something more interesting, but it feels like it isn’t ready or willing to make that jump.   Plus it has a bad case of “anti-hero has the most annoying kids” that affects so many of these shows

Last of us is too good…as someone who hasnt played the game I’m sort of glad I don’t know what I’m in for (I did play all the uncharted games)

Daredevil and the Pitt stuck their season finales too

S2ep2 of Last of Us hit like a punch to the gut in the best way. I see now why they chose to start off with a somewhat slow season opener.
I knew what was going to happen, but I wasn’t prepared to witness it. Wept for a solid few minutes while the credits rolled.

I didn't know and from the trailers and the marketing I was led to think something else, but it was too much for me...I honestly had to stop it a few times because of how dark it got.... not knowing the game and having that kick ass act with the Cordyceps, just crushed me, I didn't cry but damn the deep feeling of how fucked up people can be did get to me for the rest of the night.   I kind of had that same feeling and reaction at the end of baby reindeer

How much of episode 2 was new?   Up until then, I remember everything pretty lifted straight from the game (minus that one ep) but I didnt remember necessarily the:

Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

I remember something similar happening to the second thing, but tbe location and other details were different

I just watched Press, it's a single season, 6 eps, about competing newspapers in London. It's not too deep, but quite entertaining, and I found it refreshing to watch something about issues that mirror the real world, without it being overly dark, or violent.

For those watching Andor, does the plotline involving the overbearing mother seem like the algorythms that be assessed the target audience as adult males with non-specific mommy frustrations? It seems out of keeping with the rest of the show's style of character development, and so far irrelevant to the plot. Or shit, is this a story arc that's only showing up for me, alongside the how to build a 6-pack with chair exercises for men 40 and up ads?

Not saying this is a spoiler, but please let’s make sure we’re using <spoiler>proofing for Last of Us/Andor/etc.   I had a little bit of daredevil spoiled for me on here, but fortunately it was the best possible news I could have received.

This series is the best shit since Jedi. I wish I didn’t know hire it all ends in the end.

It’s a really good show. There’s a lot of action and cool sci-fi stuff- but I really appreciate the slow pacing and character development as well. That being said, I’m not as impressed with the second season as much as the first one.

Another amazing episode of The Rehearsal. Nathan Fielder might be our finest export.

It started off a little slow with the dog cloning weirdos, but the whole Sully and Evanescence thing was soooo good.

Lemme know your thoughts.

I was binge watching maritime and aviation disasters before the series started so it's right up my alley.

Poker Face is back for season 2. Episodes 1 and 2 were bangers. The first one is pretty close to a Knives Out spin-off and the second one was full of references that have multiple meanings, all of which really hit for me. Columbo is an obvious influence, maybe The Rockford Files too. Usually one and done TV mysteries that feels familiar but the writing is a few clicks better than what you mighta gotten with 70s network TV.

I watched and liked the third one but it was more arc heavy so I didn't wanna talk about it to folks who maybe weren't already familiar.

Makes sense.  Just wanted to make sure you didn’t miss it.   Elsbeth on CBS has been scratching my 70s detective show itch as well.   I don’t know if I would necessarily recommend it to people on here though
