Just finished Last Samurai Standing, pretty rad.
Season 2 "not confirmed but likely".
The creator was quoted saying what he's hoping for...
“Two or three seasons. However, sometimes future seasons happen two or three years later, and viewers forget what happened in the past. Because I'm a fan of Netflix, I try to convey as much as I can in one season. I like to do as much as possible. If we could conclude the whole story with another season, I think that's our mission.”
Fujii touches on a frequent problem with Netflix, or really most streaming services, where 2-3 year waits between seasons can sometimes kill momentum for even once-liked series. But he maintains that he wants at least one more season
I agree with this so hard.
It's very common that season 2 of a show will finally drop and my girl and I will be like "we watched that right? Oh yeah, we really, really liked it! What was it about again?"
Then we'll try to start watching it and it'll be like "Who are these people again? I barely remember any of this" and we either give up on the show or have to watch all of season 1 over again.
