Relay is on Netflix now.   Thought that was one of the better (most solid) movies of the year
im a fan of Riz Ahmed so i'll definitely be checking this one out. Thanks, man.
And if anyone has not seen Sound of Metal....watch with noise cancelling headphones.
It was truly visceral.

That movie got me so stoked because where he lived in his van in the beginning was the parking lot to the artier of the two movie theaters in Danvers, MA.

Black Rabbit with Jason Bateman and Jude Law was pretty entertaining.
The new His&Hers show on there was decent.
Better Call Saul is the best thing on there though.

New Damon/Affleck movie was a pretty solid good time (more of an Affleck than Damon movie).     Any issues would likely spoil so I’ll keep shtum about that.

Was surprised Joe Carnahan had one in him.   Always kinda saw him as a sub-David Ayer who never had a straining Day or even End of Watch to balance out the iffier titles

May have been said but Pluribus on Apple TV was pretty great. It’s one of those shows where the first episode is nothing like the rest of the show and is basically a precursor for what’s to come. First episode was amazing, next few are a little less then about the second half of the season things start getting better and better.

Yeah I loved it.   Those guys are into procedure and it’s fun letting them take their time in episodes and tell the story they want to tell

I too thought Pluribus was great, I definitely went in knowing it would most likely be really good since I’m a huge Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul fan, Vince Gilligan knows how to tell great stories.

Basically, they like to show the steps in a process rather than glide by.   You see the steps of how Carol or Carlos’s brains work, the same way you would see Walter White or Mike in the BB/BCS shows.

Lmao. I thought procedure was another show. I see what you’re saying. Should’ve recognized that name from breaking bad.

On hbo but, The Substance was a good one. Pretty slow for the first half but the ending more than makes up for it.

MUBI has a 3 months/$1 deal going on right now.   They distribute a lot of foreign and US indie films, kinda like a NEON.   The new pavement movie is on there, new Kelly Riechart, Andrea Arnold, Substance, Decision to Leave and so on

I've really been enjoying Free Bert.  It seems to be trendy to hate on Bert Kreischer online, but the show is actually great.  It's kind of wild to see the haters spam negative reviews on IMDB just because they don't like him as a stand-up comedian.

You guys might like Bunny on Netflix.   I remember hearing good reviews, but I was kinda resistant to it bc I thought it was some hipster New Yorker actor thing (it isn’t) but really feel for it as the farce built up

The lead also looks like a cross fit version of Riley Hawk

just rewatched the wire. such a great show.

Was just posting in here to say I'm finally deep into the wire. The first season took me close to a year to get through. Over the past month I'm like halfway through season 4.

I don't really know whats on what platform but a good doc, 2000 Meters To Andriivka. Is such a scary portrait of modern combat and really just emotionally tense.

[/quote]Awesome. To be honest. I watched non-stop ukraine coverage for a couple years and didn't watch the docs because I just knew they would be tough despite all I had seen. That one was heavy. It's first hand, and it's up there to me. It's different from something like a restrepo. It's like post apocalyptic war, its so real, so heavy.

my bad. screwed up in quoting your post. haha. sorry.
But yes....
reminded me of Restrepo as well.
though fascinating, very hard to watch sometimes if you cant ignore the deep feelings that rise when you watch war stuff.

Newest SISU movie is on Netflix. If you liked the first one, then I'm sure you'll enjoy the 2nd. A little more over the top, but a short 90 minute video that's pure entertainment.

Started watching Man in the High Castle on Netflix. It's slow so far but I'm really liking it. Also watching Twisted Metal, it's a fun show.
